Eibachs installed noiae in front

Just installed springs on 335xi and noticed there's a sound coming from front when at low speeds going over speed bumps and over small bumps on parking lot. Sway bar loose???

I bet it's the top strut mount bolts. When you put the springs on the struts, and tightened the bolt, did you re-tighten it after the struts were installed and the full weight of the car is on the springs?

I had a similar issue with some coilovers I recently installed, and it turned out to be the top nuts. They appeared to be tight when I assembled them off the car, but after I drove around on them for a bit, the strut mounts settled lower on the strut shaft almost 1/2 an inch, and I needed to re-tighten them.

You'll need to loosen your strut tie bars to get access to that nut.

I experienced a similar noise up front going over speed bumps at slow speed after install of my performance dampers/pro kit springs. It's likely to be bushings. Let your suspension settle down over a few weeks and a couple hundred miles, it may go away, mine did. If it doesn't take it and get the top nuts checked like mentioned above.

It could be what everyone said.

1. Suspension not settled.
2. Top strut mount bolt
3. Bottom sway bar can be loose.

As cssnms said, make sure the suspension has settled before you do anything. If theres still sound check the top strut mount bolt and see if the sway bar thats attached to the strut mounts is bolted down correctly. If that is loose, you may experience weird sounds.

If you were unlucky like me, my bottom sway bar was loose. had to take out the engine cover guard to tighten that down.
