**335i Either e90/e92 a good Daily Driver in CA?**
Hey Guys!
So, I've been on and off e90 a while. Back before I purchased my IS-F, I had test driven several e92's and e90s. What drew me to the IS-F, was the Lexus dealership I found was willing to give me a considerable amount more on my trade in (is250) then any BMW dealer I found. NOW, I am a whole different ball game. With 20k on my IS-F (really a weekend driver) I plan to be moving to either LA, or SD. My new ride, will be my daily driver, commuting from work, school, home on a daily basis. Now I'm not sure exactly how far that will be everyday (my goal is to keep everything on the closer route, but you never know). My question to you guys, is if building a 2011 e90/e92 be a smart move? I want to think in terms of : 1) Reliability (Will this car last up to 100k) Maybe Extended Warranty? If I buy the car new, I am the babier type oil change every 5k, hand wash etc) 2) Gas MPG (Will I be getting decent gas MPG that I wont be raped at the pump.Probably the main reason I'll be selling my IS-F, the V8...) 3) Manual, or Automatic Trans? (I've heard CA traffic's a bitch, maybe 6-spd is a no no ?) 3) If all goes through...Should I build my car to my specs, and order it brand new so I KNOW where it has come from. Or should I look at low mile used ones, and save some pocket change. Thanks guys! A really good forum over here, BMW is such a solid car. I really loved the e90/e92's when I had been looking at them. Maybe my time has come to pick one up. |

Gas is a bitch! I easly fill up 120+ a week on gas, but then again I drive alot. I've been driving e9xs for the past four years and the only complaint I have is the stiff ride. It tends to get uncomforable if your in traffic. Other than that its awesome. Just watch out for those potholes!
I would honestly get the 335d. Great on gas, fast, and if you get non sports its comfy. Shop around, look for specials and discounted cars. You mind find something cheaper.
