Deal or No Deal
I wanted to get some opinions whether this is a good deal or not for a lease on a 335i manual sedan.
36 months 12k per year miles Price: 48.3K Total cash down: 4250 payment: 589/month MF: 2.3 (not sure if this is number) Res: 63% I thought that they could do a little bit better. What do you guys think?? I don't want to disclose what dealership this was. I believe he was using 1000 over invoice for the negotiation price. Last edited by Turbinator; 05-13-2007 at 01:48 PM.. |

that's a coupe which is supposed to have higher MF, mark up, and Residual value and he got about the same price you got. Something's not right here. Which dealer did you go to? I know a CA that will give you a better deal than that. PM me for info. |

No one yet has paid over sticker. So of course your deal is pretty bad.

No way.
Work on that sale price. Many dealers in the bay area will work around the invoice price instead of the MSRP for a 335 sedan. Don't allow them to fool you otherwise. |

I believe he was using around 1000 over invoice. I edited my post. It's a 48K car and has using 46 as the sale price.
I also saw his cost price and it listed that at 45.3K or something close to that. does that make a difference?? |

okay with $2000 down + $2250 due at signing, 63% RV, MF .00175 your payment should come out to about $554/mo.
Now money due at signing and MONEY DOWN are two different things. If you put $4250 DOWN + whatever else is due at signing, that will make it a bad deal( because your payment should be about $482/mo). Now if you're putting $2k down and $2250 due at signing, then I guess it's not a bad deal- although the payment seems high. No offense to you but everyone that asks others to check their lease deal should give us all the info. THat means: MF, lease terms and mileage, money down, money due at signing, how much over invoice, MSRP, tax rate where you live, and whether or not you use multiple security deposits. |

1) Price is way too high. I got a loaded auto sedan for 42.5K
2) BMW's May MF is .00175 at 61% RV so anything over that MF is pocketed by the dealer 3) That gives you a payment of 529 w/o tax for a purchase price of 44,000 - Zero down. You are getting nailed on the sale price. Try starting over again at another dealership and negotiate a price BEFORE you say anything about a lease. Also, Go to Edmunds.com to figure out the Invoice price. Never pay MSRP+ |

the demand for sedans isn't nearly as high it is for coupes. dealers don't have to discount coupes much because they have no problems selling them at MSRP or just a little cheaper.

no deal.
i got my 46.5k 330 for 36mo 12k/year for 410/mo. I gave them $500 cash and my 2003 g35 w/ 35miles (base car, no premium no leather no nothin) i owed 18,500. Think thay game me around 20k for it but I had it on auto trader for months and couldn't sell it,.....so no deal.
