Just like last year, I will be organizing the San Diego Caravan to Bimmerfest this year. However, this year, t
his caravan will be sponsored by BimmerBrakes!! That's right. A vendor here. Sponsoring a Caravan to BimmerFest this year. If that isn't awesome, I don't know what is.

He will be giving us free stuff to give away in the form of a raffle drawing BEFORE we take off. So make sure to get there early to get a ticket!!!
Giving out the tickets from 5:20 am till 5:30 am!! Drawing will take place at 5:40am!!
Although we are still working out the details about what exact route to take, we will still be leaving from the UTC mall, just north of the 52 freeway, at around
06:00AM.
Last year, we had a little over 100 cars, including the ones from our north meet up spot in Carlsbad.
Because the organizer of that event will not be attending this year, there is no one to organize the one in Carlsbad.
If you live above the 56, and driving to UTC is too far/inconvenient, your best bet is to try to get in touch with us so that we know where you are. If enough of you address me with a common location, I can make the announcement that you will meet there, and then meet up with us on the freeway. It worked last year, and it will work this year. All it takes is one phone call to let you know we are 10 minutes away, and you head to the freeway and wait for us.
I will upload this frequently as we make up solid plans. Like I said before, the route is still being decided.
The choices are of heading up the I-5 to the I-110, or I-5 to the I-15 via the 74.
The second choice is a slight canyon run, that was a lot of fun last year. At the bottom of it, there is a parking spot to gas up, get a snack, go to the bathroom, or whatever they need. Also a nice chance to relax for a bit and get some photos/meet the other drivers.
Things you should do/have:
- Wash your car
- Install front plate (a lot of people tend to get tickets for this)
- Gas up
- Check tires
- Pack walkie talkies (huge help regarding cops, traffic, tactical maneuvers involving mini vans, nudes, food and fuel),
- phone charger
- microfiber cloths
- bottled water, snacks, etc.
For the walkie talkies, we will be using Channel 5, so we don't encounter any problems near Camp Penalton.
Please be on time. We can't hang around too long waiting for people running late so please plan ahead a little in case you hit traffic, sleep in too late, etc.
This thread will contain all the necessary information of the caravan and events related to it. It will be updated every time something changes!
