Wonder if there's any way to check which configuration I'll be getting. Order tracking is pretty generalized.
Call your dealer and ask for your build date & production number. That will be the easy way to know. I tried to get an order around the 18th and none were available before the change. I luckily found a car on the lot that was close enough considering the changes and cost increase (I wanted a 6MT).

I am trying to get that answer. I ordered in February before the change, but the car was not built until late March/early April. The build sheet indicates the car has the 17" wheels standard on the post-March prod. change M sport. When I made it clear that was not acceptable, he insisted that he checked with the sales manager and that my car had the 18" 193M wheels I ordered. I don't know if the car was actually built with those, or if that is a change the dealership put through to the VPC or plan on changing on their own. When I saw that the build sheet also did not include the "Increased top speed limiter" that was on the order sheet and on the BMW website with the M sport, I also questioned that. I have not gotten an answer on that, and I am expecting delivery by this week or early next week.

I am not sure if I will even accept delivery on this car without something in writing stating that the limiter was increased. This is not something I will even be able to check until a few years down the road when I may get it out onto a track. I am not happy with BMW deciding to change something between my order and when they build the car. The increased limiter was one of the reasons I paid the $3000 for the M sport package, so I expect it to be delivered that way.

Interesting on the xdrive COUPE m sport package doesn't show the increased top speed limiter, but all the rest of the models, the m-sport package does show the increased top speed limiter on the xdrive SEDAN and RWD COUPE+SEDAN....

The build sheet should definitely show the right wheels and the options on there. Don't have my build sheet on me to show the option code for increased top speed limiter, but will see if I can spot changes.

It did show the increased top speed limiter for the xdrive coupe online until they updated the site for the March production changes. They finally got around to that online change around mid April. Since I ordered my car in February, online showed the increased limiter, and my order sheet showed the increased limiter, I am not sure I want to accept a car that does not have it. That's akin to a bait-and-switch. FWIW, the if you check the BMWUSA site under 3 series specs, it still lists the top speed as 130 [150]. The footnotes say that the [] indicate the top speed for *all* 3's with the M sport package. I really think they don't have a leg to stand on if they provide a M sport vehicle without that feature, and it's certainly not the type of stunt they should be pulling mid-model year.

Mine arrived last Monday with 17" wheels despite the sales advisor and sales manager insisting it would have the 18" I ordered. I stupidly still accepted delivery with a promise in writing that I would get the 18" 193M wheels. Those were supposed to be in last Thursday. Thursday came and went with no call, and I haven't been able to get anyone to return my call about when the wheels will be available. Now I find out that oil coolers only come on E92 335 xdrives with M Sport and 18" wheels, and sure enough, my car does not have the oil cooler. This probably means there is very little chance the car has the speed limiter increase that my sales advisor insists he verified was there.

The end result is that the dealership did not provide me with the car I ordered, and I think there is very little chance they will make it right. I feel just sick to my stomach right now, and I am very pissed at myself for accepting the car when I knew something was not right.
