is this a HPFP problem?

ok i know the normal high pressure fuel pump symptom is a long crank. but this morning i put the key in and pressed start and it started up no problem, there was no long crank, however, when the rpm needle started to go down when it got to 900 it started jerking up and down from 900 to 1000 it did this like 4 times and then i turned the car off and turned it back on and it was fine, is that the hpfp or just a fluke or something else? i scanned the car with the BT scan tool and it found no codes, does that rule out the hpfp? thanks

Im starting to have this same problem. It may be the HPFP failing but it also could just be misfires and need to replaces the spark plugs, fuel injectors, or coil packs. Going to get this done tomorrow.

ok but does having a failing fuel pump store a code? do misfires and the coilpacks and spark plugs needing to be replaced store codes?

when the dealer scans it they wont see codes either so they wont replace anything? thats why i think it was just a fluke because i threw no codes
