Firstly, good for you for being so honest. Most guys would never admit this.

Secondly, you will look far "slicker" in an Aston.

Porsches are loved most by their drivers inside. Astons are admired by everybody.

The Aston will definitely get you the attention. But if it were me, I'd go with a CLK Black Series.

AM if you can afford whatever little idiosyncratic things that will come up with it. Porsche are a dime a dozen, for good reason, but they don't turn heads. Hell, my Z4iS get's more attention.

Somewhat stand-offish, huh Mdosu?

Long story as to why I'm on this board. However, regardless of that, I have my reasons for asking E9x M3-drivers (even saloon drivers like you), as though you're in a totally different price bracket to those buying 911s, most M3-drivers appreciate performance much akin to Porsche-drivers. I'd argue that sports-Merc-drivers are more similar to those who'd buy an A-M.

I'm sure if I asked the same thing on an AMG forum, I'd get answers that are weighted almost wholly in favour of the Aston. Doubtless, some moron would then tell me to ask people on the M board!

friend of the family said the 4S "isn't a car". It started falling apart real soon and everyting started to squeek and rattle (interior). He now drives a GT3 (rollcage taken out for some comfort lol) and loves every minute in it!

The AM will definately give you the most posing possibilities out of your list though

As a committed convertible/roadster driver, - I even rent convertibles on holiday- I would have gone with the Aston if I hadn't gone Italian.

I dig that left-field choice right there.

If it was my money I'd get the C4S and buy a set of nice wheels and install a factory spoiler and GTS front bumper. There are so many good options to choose for the second gen 997.

Lambourghini Gallardo, good for posing and unless you are going to the track it's handling is not that bad.

as much as i love Astons, I hate the V8 Vantage/Volate. I feel like it's trying to hard. Plus I always felt like the sound never stood for anything. As Jeremy Clarkson concluded when the Vantage first came out, "its bite the back of your hand beautiful, but it just doesnt feel fast"

Porsche is a better car, the Aston looks better with the top cut off, and sounds great.

Get the Aston, you can always make a good case for buying a Porsche later in life.

Love the Aston for it's looks. I would have a hard time with the sure to happen "issues" that will pop up. I want to drive, not waiting for it to return from the car doctor. I don't speak from any experience just from what I have read.

C4S C with a few bits here and there and you can have an eye/ear catching automobile.

I lean towards the P of these two choices.
