Clicking noises from Engine bay

Same issue took mine in after my girlfriend noticed it, now everytime I start the car I notice it and it's loud as hell (535i). Took the car in and was told "nothing wrong was found", I call bullshit.

It is a DI motor, ticks a bit almost like a baby diesel. Well, DI really is almost like a hybrid gas/diesel. Go listen to a diesel and be glad it isn't that loud

I took mine in for the same issue and sounds. Dealer thinks I have rod bearings going bad. This isn't going to be fun.
