Not even slightly - I like being able to keep my car clean for more than a day at a time and I love being able to go outside and wash it myself instead of trusting it to a swirl-o-matic. That said, I was shocked how well the RWD and snow tires combo worked this winter despite the heavy snowfall.

I was down in Texas about 2 weeks ago and was very jealous how clean the cars stay down there. Does anybody know of a good wax that repels the pollen that is all over my newly waxed car?

Best stuff I've tried is CG Anti-Static Speed Wipe. It's not perfect by any means, but it helps with pollen.
