Brakes/Rotors: Good Idea/Bad Idea?
Hey there, pretty new to the BMW community here. Purchased a used 2007 BMW 335i a couple weeks ago, and I'm getting the (what seems to be semi popular) squeak at really low speeds from the front right rotor/brake.
After inspection the pads are pretty damn thick still, but the rotors (all around) are 'very' worn down. Every rotor has a nice big lip coming out on the outside edge. Being as the warranty had just expired a couple months ago, I was planning on grabbing a set of these and just calling it a day: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-28...e-package.aspx The cross-drilled set with the Hawk Ceramic pads. What do you guys think? Also, does anyone know what brake fluid color I would have stock? Thanks |

The stock brake fluid will look black when it comes out after 2 years.
The rotors look fine....turner is a great company. This won't get rid of the squeaking though. It's caused by the brake wear sensor. It could also be from brake dust build up too. Some people take the sensor out and tie it back.....but you have to keep an eye on the pad material. |
