I now have DP's with my jb4 and dci's and I'm getting my ets fmic this week.
Was wondering if I should stay on map 5 (autotune) or should I put it on map 2 after I install the ic?? I'll be running 93 pump gas

Can't search cause I'm using my IPhone so thanks for any info.

Side note-my Riss racing dp's I purchased very cheap and never used, I was told would not fit, most of my searches said the same.

I just wanna say after wiggling them around for 30-45mins they fit perfect no touching no rattling. I did have to remove one small bolt to make them fit. Hardest part was getting the turbo clamps back on and it is a pain in the ass installing them with jack stands and ramps.
But definitely worth it

I am one step behind you and wondering how dp will affect my noise level and smell

Not that loud, but I can hear the difference and I like it. seems to be more noticeable at higher rpm's. I don't know what it sounds like from the outside yet.

About the smell.. so far I noticed it the first time I let my car heat up, since no smell that I can notice. But this is only the 2nd day, I don't know if I will get worse.
It was a pain getting my dp's into place but after I did and got the clamps on it was pretty easy.

Auto tune (map 5) allows for higher boost than map 2...(IIRC 14.5 vs 16.5 max) if for some reason you were getting lower boost on map 5 then something is prolly wrong, or you are in very shitty conditions. You could at that point run map 2 though for a little more power, I would suggest figuring out why map 5 was pulling power back though.

Hi, Im expecting the same answer as above but to double check as im a new 335i owner.
Im fitting a JB4 next and il be running stock/duel cones but with 98-100 gas.
Would i be best on map 5 too or is there a map that will give me more boost like 7.....?

Do you have the USB cable?

Do a datalog on map5 and map2 and you can send them to me and I can let you know which looks better, etc.

I do have a USB cable, I hooked it up to my laptop and ran it a few times.
I have no idea if I did it right and not sure how to look at them
