Following on from the ongoing warranty and alloy wheel / tyre issues, Coopers have made what I think is a reasonable offer.

They've offered to come and collect the car from Cambridge, leave me with a car, then drive mine back to Croydon. They're going to fit a new alloy and two front tyres, then do a 4 wheel check. All I have to pay is 50% of cost price of the operation (as opposed to 50% of retail price).

What they've said is essentially, tyre and alloy wise I dont have much of a leg to stand on, but taking into account the hassle, the warranty issues and general upset to me, they think that picking up 50% of a cost bill is reasonable.

They're going to fix the handover and seat tilt too. So, all in all, I think thats a pretty decent outcome.

quite amazed that the dealer would accept half the cost, be sure to check they don't over price items.
