Detailer's Domain: Audi TT - Aquartz
Haven't seen this car in quite sometime, unfortunately it sits outside 100% of the time.
Take a look, its a good one. Aquartz Nano Coating was used so let's see how it holds up. What was done - Exterior - Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes - Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down - Wheel wells were cleaned up - Pre Washed with W99 - Iron Cut - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Clayed - Dried - Tires dressed - Masking - Paint Measurement - 2 Step - Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with Menzerna Super Finish - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Last Step – Aquartz - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned - Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed - Jambs steam cleaned Links to products used - 1Z einszett W99 Iron Cut Adam's All Purpose Cleaner Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner Uber Clay Bar Kit Menzerna Super Intensive Polish Menzerna Super Finish Aquartz Nano Coating Adam's Super VRT Adam's Metal Polish Adam's Glass Cleaner Adam's Glass Sealant Interior 1Z einszett Cockpit 1Z einszett Leathercare Tools used Uber Wool Wash Mitt Uber No Name MF Towels Porter Cable 7424XP Flex PE14-2-150 Uber Buffing Pads Defelsko Paint Meter Fenix TK11 Brinkmann Kranzle Pressure Washer Cam Spray Foam Canon 2 Grit Guard Buckets with Caddies Uber Firehose Nozzle Interior shots Before ![]() ![]() After ![]() ![]() ![]() Exterior shots Before shots You can see that it's gone thru a pretty bad winter. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner in action ![]() ![]() ![]() Sud shot ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rinsed ![]() After wash shots ![]() ![]() These Kwazar bottles rock! ![]() Glass was clayed ![]() Paint was clayed ![]() 50/50 shots (2 steps SIP/Super Finish) ![]() ![]() Exhaust Tips Cleaned Up with Adam's Metal Polish Before ![]() ![]() Afters (Aquartz was used as a last step) ![]() ![]() ![]() After shots ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Permission for this write up granted by the owner. Does AQuartz require you to be certified like some of the other Nano coatings in order to buy it? Just wonder as I've seen a few cars with CQuartz and Opti Coat and they look like a hardened candy shell. Sounds good for those in areas where real weather occurs. Does you see any differences between these and traditional sealant/waxes in terms of gloss and presentation given the same prep work and polish? I'd like to do this to the wifey's car seeing that I'm lucky to get to wash it right as she doesn't want to spend the time doing those things.

Coatings would help you when you can't get to your car. For me I have it on the wife's daily which sits outside 24/7 and my car which I just can't get to due to working on others cars. So it would make sense on your wife's. Phil |

Don't get me wrong, I love my E90. For some reason this car just fits my eye perfectly. Classy, no tint, the square LM's are perfect and the porsche seats just set it off...anyone else agree??
