Detailer's Domain: Audi TT - Aquartz

Haven't seen this car in quite sometime, unfortunately it sits outside 100% of the time.
Take a look, its a good one. Aquartz Nano Coating was used so let's see how it holds up.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Pre Washed with W99
- Iron Cut
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- 2 Step - Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with Menzerna Super Finish
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step – Aquartz
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed
- Jambs steam cleaned

Does AQuartz require you to be certified like some of the other Nano coatings in order to buy it? Just wonder as I've seen a few cars with CQuartz and Opti Coat and they look like a hardened candy shell. Sounds good for those in areas where real weather occurs. Does you see any differences between these and traditional sealant/waxes in terms of gloss and presentation given the same prep work and polish? I'd like to do this to the wifey's car seeing that I'm lucky to get to wash it right as she doesn't want to spend the time doing those things.

You don't have to be certified to use these, I would say it's a med level product, so if you can polish out cars you should be able to use a coating. (machine polish)

Coatings would help you when you can't get to your car.

For me I have it on the wife's daily which sits outside 24/7 and my car which I just can't get to due to working on others cars.

So it would make sense on your wife's.

Don't get me wrong, I love my E90. For some reason this car just fits my eye perfectly. Classy, no tint, the square LM's are perfect and the porsche seats just set it off...anyone else agree??
