Anyone Use BG-44k Fuel Treatment in N54
I have always run a bottle of techron thru the fuel system every 5K miles since day 1...whether it has done anything or not who knows....car has 18K miles now....all I can say is I have not been plagued with multiple HPFP or fuel injector failures like other memebers..so maybe there is some correlation there
I have read many good things on other car forums including some BMW ones raving how great BG-44K is and how its much better than techron..apparently its the cleaner of choice for professionals..on the can it states "Professional Use Only"..whatever.. So i bought 2 cans..I decided to make a test subject outta of my 93 eclipse which is my DD. It has 165Kmiles and runs great..although i know there is carbon deposits on the intake valves and pistons..classic tell tale sign is it pings if I use 87 octane..so I always use 93..well after going thru a half tank of gas w BG-44K in it.. its running smoother and pulls a lil better.. Thinkin bout using the other can in my 335..wondering if anyone has had experience with this product ..preferably in the N54..but experiences with other cars is welcome. THX in advance. I have used BG products on my previous Infiniti twin turbo FX35 and loved it! That stuff really works! My car pulled so much smooth after BG treatment. I havent used it on my 335i, maybe I should

Any fuel cleaner serviced through the gas tank Will Not Clean the Intake Valves. This is due to Direct injection as the fuel will never see the valves. It will though clean the injector tips which is always a good thing.
Edit: they do have a BG Air Intake System Cleaner which seems to be ingested like sea foam though the vac line in the intake manifold. Might help delay carbon build up if used at every oil change. Part No 206 http://www.bgprod.com/products/fuelair.html |

Valves cleaning is much better than using these fuel cleaner.
