Best wax has been asked on here quite a bit and a different answer will be given by most people. However remember your entire process is really what is most important. Washing and drying with good technique, using a clay bar to deep clean the paint, polishing is arguably the most important step and lastly a coat of protection. Remember the polishes actually correct the surface and create the shine. Most sealants and waxes can only enhance the way the surface already looks. For just protection we recommend a sealant instead of a wax. The Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger is one of my favorite sealants and if you want a great value check out the Rejex Sealant. If you prefer a carnauba wax the Chemical Guys 50/50 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax is a great one that is somewhat reasonable in price, while the Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax is one of the best values imo.

get the black box from turtle wax... very good results for 18 bucks. also hides your swirls and light scratches pretty good as well.

or

autoglym HD wax i think they are still available at walmart for 20 bucks

I have a BSM (black sapphire metallic) and my detailer has had great results with the Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger on my car. Amazing results.

On a black car u may wanna use 3M Hand Glaze..bring out a nice gloss.



n then wax P21s.. stuff is really good but pricey..paste carnuba wax always has a higher concentration of carnuba then liquid..its more of a PITA to apply but worth it

If you're going to use AutoGlym HD research the application and removal and if you want it at Wally world hurry as it's no longer carreid there or Pep Boys (business marketing fiasco). It can be a bit of a pain but looks nice. P21S looks about the same but the longevity is quite a bit shorter than the sealants being thrown around in this thread. DP Max Wax is another low cost alternative that looks nice and lasts the typical carnuba 6 weeks. You could also spend a lot of money and buy a boutique wax. Bottom line is the prep and polish will determine what it looks like, no wax will make a poorly prepped car look great.

I like CG 50/50 on my SGM car, for the price and the amount you use I don't think it pricy at all. I also just used Dodo supernatural hybrid. Which is there new sealant wax. So far I love it!!

The poorboys natty blue is very good as Greg mentioned. I also like the dodo juice blue velvet. I've also found the menzerna polish to be a smart step prior to waxing
