Stray Bolt Kills Passenger in SUV A stray bolt that flew through the windshield killed a passenger in a SUV in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, according to news reports. Connecticut police say they are looking for the source of a 3 1/2-inch bolt that flew through the windshield of an SUV and killed a Waterbury woman. A Forty-year-old woman was killed Saturday afternoon as she was riding in the right front passenger seat of an SUV going south on Interstate 95 in Greenwich. State police say the bolt may have broken off a dump truck that was traveling in the opposite direction. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or knows about the vehicle that lost the bolt to contact state police.
