Had this happen with my TiAL when I first installed it. The top of the BOV was not aligned with the vacuum line. Due to this, the car would never go into boost and drove around like a suttering pig. Recheck your BOV where it attaches to the vacuum line.

Easiest way to check for boost leaks is to turn the car on and listen for any hissing sounds coming from the BOV or the area surrounding it. Even better is to have someone slightly rev the car for you and then you should be able to hear if it is really leaking.
You definitely did something wrong with the installation, go over it from start to finish and see if you missed/ screwed up any steps. Good luck! Oh BTW, whoever told you that you wont hear the BOV sound until the car is warm should not be allowed to work on vehicles. As long as their is enough boost pressure, it doesn't matter if the car has just been started after sitting for a week, you will hear the BOV release air. |
