Help removing e90 kidney grilles
Hey guys, I'm going to plastidip my grilles black, but I'm a little unsure abt how to remove the lower kidney grilles from my 06 e90. I've seen many DIYs abt this but i tried myself and i felt like i was abt to break something lol. So, before i mess anything up, can anyone give me steps in detail on how to properly remove the lower grilles?
Thanks |

The chrome that is attached to your hood are hold in by Torx screws. To access it, open your hood and the screws are located underside of the hood.
For the kidney grill section, behind are a few clips, you'll have to find them by feeling them and I believe you push up and pull out. You won't break these clip easily. When you get it out, the chrome on the kidney grill is removable because it has clips holding onto the black part. |

Black Matte Grill
I just got a set from e92 lighting very cheap. I really like the way they look and they are a perfect replacement. Put them on last night in literally about 10 minutes. Just pull the kidneys straight toward you by grabbing a few slats and they will pop right out.

i recently took out the kidney grills on my 2011 e92 to plastidip them too... Its pretty simple; just unscrew the front bumper (dont take it off) move it a little forward and youll see the clips (there about 6 to each grill) then push the clip up and out.
