PS3 Help...
Really simple question I'm sure but I've just got round to trying to download the two free games discussed in another thread, got one downloaded OK but can't download the other as apparently there isn't enough free space .
Now, I've got one of the earlier 40gb models (37gb according to the system) and only got 2013mb free but don't know what the hell is taking up the space . How do I check what's zapping the space . I hardly use my PS3 except for occassional Bluray/Games and, as far as I can see, there's not a lot downloaded. I've deleted all the video I'd downloaded (previews of games) and virtually all the demo games (only got a demo of Burnout, Super Stardust HD & thw full game Wipeout. Saved Data Utility has a few entrys but can't see these being taking up too much memory. Game Data Utility could be an issue, there are 9 entries, as follows -: GT5 - 7263mb GT5 Prologue - 6420mb (I'll delete this as I've got the full game now!) NFS - 104kb LittleBigPlanet - 680mb plus 1067mb download content GTA4 - 3359mb RR7 - 1650mb Do I need the all of the above - what's contained in the Game Data Utility bit. I'm guessing if I delete the data for GT5 Prologue that'll free enough space to download my 2nd free game but is it right I've got no space when I really don't use the machine much (I appreciate 40gb is hardly big these days).

Rog, did you ever say 'yes' to installing a game when asked by the system?
GT5 for example will ask you to do so for performance reasons, if you hit yes it transfers about 19gb. Do that twice and your about full. So, answer that and we can see about how to remove the installed files! Matt |

Erm, if I was asked, I guess I'd have said YES, but don't know for sure. Any way I can check??
