Replacing burned out Angel Eye H8 bulb to keep OEM look

The bulb for the left angel eye of my 2007 E92 328i burned out. What bulb should I buy so that it will match the other original angel eye?

My preference is to avoid the local dealership. BMW of SF wanted $220 to replace my cabin air filter, so I assume they will want $100 to replace this bulb, LOL.

A call to ask them how much first would never hurt though, maybe ask for just the part and no labor.

Anyone have a part # or anything similar? If not, any recommendations for an aftermarket set that I can replace both side and look similar to OEM?

Go to your local auto parts store and pickup any h8 bulb and put it in. Should be less than 10 bucks.

These are what OEM BMW uses. Osram Sylvania and they are only $18 shipped for a set here from this store

Just make sure they are H8 in the notes area.

This. Your local auto parts store should have standard clear H8 bulbs that you can just swap out yourself for a few bucks.

My 2006 325i angel eye (driver side) also burnt out. I heard that in order to replace the H8 bulb, the front wheel needs to be taken out. Is that a DIY? I'm not too mechanically inclined so I want to make sure I don't screw things up. Btw, my car is out of warranty.

Thanks.

Dealership charged you more for labor than the cost of the bulbs. Get a pair of H8 bulbs (2nd one may go out soon) and install. Sylvania bulbs are available in super-white and ultra-white, and are relatively inexpensive. There is a DIY available on how to change them out on this site and also on e92-lighting.com.

They are a pain to install unless you have tiny hands. But do-able.

Bump. Mine just went. How difficult is the install. Do you really have to take a wheel off?

Unfortunately yes for E90; don't think you'd be able to get enough room to reach your bulbs with just the wheel turned, although you could give it a try. In the E92, they're in a tiny little compartment with a removable lid right behind the headlight assemblies under the hood.
