Which style to go for, if any for my E92?
I am trying to decide what to do with my black E92 SE. It's currently on 17s (which were listed as 189s, though I'm not sure that's right) and the plan was to keep the smart sophisticated look and just upgrade the wheels at some point to some 19's 225s or 230s (if I've got my codes right).
I was against the 'blacked out look' (black wheels, trim, grille) as it's a bit played out and a bit boy racer-ish.... but then I saw the frozen M3 thread on the phone app and was So now I'm not sure what to do? I'll try to tart up this thread with some pics at some point. |

I'd get any of the following, in no particular order:
230's 225's 269's 313's Plenty of choice there

2 for OEM so far.
I'll look in to those other numbers. Is one of those the 'star' style? As I like those a lot too. Edit: Not sure about the 269s, not seen them much at all. Not keen on the 313s, I rarely see them on an E9x and think that they suit it. I like the 287s (I think that's right). But obviously as with all of them, I have to find them. I watch eBay like a Hawk but rarely a well priced (imo) set comes up that sound in good nic. Last edited by The_Bear_Yid; 06-29-2011 at 10:21 AM.. |

Not sure they will be any more common and "worthless" than mv4s. 230s can be picked up at a reasonable price. I really don't think they would suit black as half the appeal is the the angled faces on each spoke sparkling. However I've never seen anyone with 230s anything other than silver. |

Also either keep your 17s for winter use or sell them once the panic to get winter wheels set in and you should easily get £300 for them if in decent condition.

Kerr - I wouldn't do OEM wheels black... or would I...
Creepy - Not a fan of the 313s, lol at the brake caliper comment. Davy - I'll look in to that spoiler, I'm a bit of a BM noob. Yeah I was thinking of keeping the 17's as track wheels or something. |
