Just be mindful of if the worst happens and you have a nasty prang (someone else gets injured) your car would get a right going over. Likely get hammered by Police and abandoned by Insurance company.

Specially with all that bass pumping out

Yeah I hear ya man. Any one here declare their audio install then? Lmao.

I'm interested in the vibe 4 v3! Obv as you bought them, they must be good, but how did you go about deciding on that particular brand/model? Was it better than the rest in its class or ?? I read from diff members on the forum that there's no point changing the rear speakers as if the fronts are replaced by good class aftermarkets, then that’s ok.

Oh and 1 hint, I've not gone for SWS-8's, just keeping the car under seat subs n using as mid bass. I hope I've made the right decision though. Seriously hope you don’t mind me bugging you when I come round to doing the install! I’ll make sure credits are due where they belong, lol.

I went for the Vibe Slick 4's as they were used by forum member 'Technic' on one of his installs and he rated them quite well. They were also well priced and had the removable tabs to aid fitment. I think they sound good.

Your'e quite right, alot of people don't bother changing out the rears. I just thought it would bug me if I left them standard and why not improve the rear a bit for the backseat passengers?

Looking forward to seeing what you've got lined up

I think the mid-bass and sub setup will sound pretty good and don't worry about asking questions. Makes me feel clever!

Alright cool, thanks a tonne man, really appreciate that. I'll give you the heads up by tomorrow to let you whether or not re: vibe spkr.

Wondered though, would you recommend Audion Bit Ten D+DCR? I'm able to pick it up for £300 (RRP £450ish).. BNIB, or is it better to just stay with MS8? Don't understand the real difference :-(

If I'm honest it's the first I've heard of it. The MS8's rival was the Audison Bit One and from my research the MS8 came out on top. Looks like the Bit Ten is a cut down version of that but, if it does all you need it looks like a good price. I see you've posted up on the Audio/Bluetooth Forum. I'd wait for America to wake up and get some professional verdicts.*My immediate impression is it has less channels, no Logic 7 and doesn't appear to set itself up? Only had a quick read though. Oh, it's not an amp either so factor in you may need another amp on top. If your doing front doors and under seats as mid's that's four channels needed already. Depends what else your planning!

Definately looks worthy of consideration. Look like it sorts out the EQ which is the primary goal!

So with 4 channels used up for fronts and under seats, I'll need another for subs in the boot I guess.... It does sort out the EQ too which is a bonus but the display is a bit pants from what I see / hear and having seen JBL in flesh on an M3, with stock L7 components and boot install, sounds pretty nifty. But then again, I've not heard the Audison Bit. I'm not one to fiddle too much with the EQ's so long as the thing sounds tasteful, that's what matters, but each to their own.. I guess that's weird coming for a DJ right, but I am just looking to change things up a bit I guess.

Will be in contact tonight re: vibe so watch this space. Saw some fit 10" subs under seats on this forum and thought that was real madness but innovative, but I'd rather have the bass kicking in from the boot! Hope I don't make any airport trips any time soon lol!

Keep going back to thining about SWS and thinking should I, shouldn't I!! Realyl want to hear them in person but it's hard as I don't know anyone.. I don't think cuting ski hatch is something I wanted to do just so as to keep the car as OEM as possible.. but without the sub firing through the hatch, it would sound so (crap!!) lol.

I'm struggling to cope with this and another forum, joining a 3rd one will be suicide but here goes nothin..... (thanks again!!)

I have had a terrible experience with my tints that have been removed meanwhile. The big problem is sometimes caused by the weather strip inside the windows. Some BMWs have a plastic strip that doesn't permit the tiny stones to get inside the fabric as they do in the velvet strips, therefore causing huge scratches on the tint film.

Here's a picture I took just before removing the tint. You can see both the scratches and the plastic strip with the small stones on it. The window film ended up like this in a month or so. However, this is not the case for all the e90/1/2/3.

Mine have the exact same lines as this dude, is there any way to save the tint or remove these plastic strips?
