Favorite Street / Drag Racing Tire

I'm in the search for new tires and i'm not really big on wheel/tire combinations. I was hoping to keep the stock 162 wheels for a bit and just put on some decent tires for street and drag racing.

What do you guys use? The tires I have now are Falkens and they suck for traction.

Have you tried falken azenis, they are great for dry roads.. but only go as high as 18" For the price, they are not bad. Some extra money, Michelin PS2 are great!

Nitto NT05.

I have both that and the Z1 SS's, and the Nitto's are more comfortable/less noisy. My nittos are grippier as far as I can tell, but that's because they're much wider than my Z1's.

Faulken azenis are some of the stickiest street tires I've ever driven on. Try them out, you won't be let down.

Toyo Proxes R888.

Those would stick to the ceiling if ever needed to!

I got a deal on some FK452, I'm thinking about picking them up. Anything negative? I'm pretty sure I can get them for about 160each on the rears from a buddy.

I had Kumho XS's on the rear of my Mustang making over 550rwhp and when it was hot out, they would grip pretty damn well on the street.

Since you mentioned drag racing, how about some BFG 18" drag radials (the only 18" drag radials for our cars...)

I had Toyo R888s in 295/30/18 on my Z and loved them! They just wear really quick.
