Question what's up with wheel pricing?

excuse the n00bness, but why are wheel prices so polarized?

there's the $800-1200 range of styles.

and then there's the $4000-6000 range of styles.

where's the $2000-3000 range???

It's the classic war of cast (cheap) vs forged (expensive).

Replicas are also on the cheap side, but I myself don't trust them.

Correct. I'm not sure why I didn't say that to begin with. My MORRs we in the higher end of the $2000-3000 range.
