How often do you clean your MAF sensor?
Just wondering how often everyone cleans it. I took mine out about 6 months ago and it was crazy dirty with about 50k miles.
In fact it was so dirty I don't think I cleaned it well enough. I might have to let it soak this weekend. |

Wait whaaat? You managed to put 50K+ miles on an N55 motor? You must be driving quite a lot... N54 comes with TMAP and N55 comes with MAF

Well I know about the tmap but there was something near the throttle body that looked like a MAF. It had two screws holding it down, took it off and cleaned the dirty little thing.
If you look at the second diagram on this post it's #10. I'll post a pic later today to show the crud that was on it. |

Im going to assume he has an N54 from his previous post history (I could be totally wrong though). N54 has no MAF as others have stated...
