just joined couple days ago so really new to all of this,
just recently got a 2011 bmw 328xi and wanted to upgrade the exhaust for the car, i noticed some people saying the OEM bmw performance exhaust is good? some people say Eisenmann? ( dont even know what brand that is) some say magnaflow exhaust? long story short, i'll love to hear what you guys have to say, i am really new to all of this and it would be my first mod so dont bash on me too hard for not knowing. any sites or vendors would be great too! thanks alot in advance!! |

Magnaflow if you want cheap, MMW if you want mid price range, and PE if you want expensive.

getbmwparts.com is one of the cheaper routes, but you can order it through any BMW dealer

PE and call it a day. Great sound and doesn't void anything.

I got my PE installed about 2 weeks ago on my 2011 328xi. It was installed and ordered at the dealer. I heard an amazing growl that is only comparable in my mind to an E46 M3. Between 1-2500k RPM, it is silent with windows up or down while moving. From 2500-4000ish until the Vanos is completely open, it sounds like a much larger more powerful motor. After that it sounds like a race tuned version of our N52 motor. It sounds more aggressive, but amazingly, does not lose that intoxicatingly beautiful whine at high RPM. I saw a slight gain in responsiveness and power, the second may be a placebo effect however. Great investment on a purchased vehicle, but might be a bit much on a lease. I plan on doing the OEM Euro airbox upgrade next, followed by some cosmetics. For more info on my vehicle, visit my page on the BIMMERPOST garage section.
