Milford CT Post Mall Parking Lot Theft

Hey just a heads up for those in CT and shop at the Milford Mall.

I parked my car near JCPenny in a well lit area and thought it would be safe from other cars and left alone. Unfortunately when I was leaving I see that my AW M3 trunk spoiler was ripped off.

Honestly I am annoyed but also realize I am lucky they didn’t break a window nor do any body damage.

It is just first time anything like this has happened to me in a BMW. I expect it in Honda\Acura but I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.

Be safe and if anyone has any recommendations of how to mount a replacement please let me know.

Thats sucks..these spoliers are getting stolen left and right..my friend has his roof spoiler ripped off in the BX..no security in that mall???

they drive around but they are high school kids so dont really care. Nice car BTW.

How did u have it mounted? 3M tape or screws.

just the 3m tape. Going to be a pain to get it off in the AM. I would do screws next time if its not to hard.

Yeah i use 3m on my spoiler too..easy trick to remove tape residue w/o further damage..use Ronsonol lighter fluid..it removes it very easily..best of luck

A lip spoiler is way too thin to use screws, besides, if it was screwed on he'd probably have a broken spoiler and a scratched up trunk right now. I have a nick on my car from the bastards who stole my lip spoiler as well.

LOL..Are you sure he has the lip spoiler..he just said trunk spoiler..if it is the lip spoiler than yes only 3m tape

He said M3 spoiler and that it's attached with 3m tape so I assumed it was the lip one.

Im starting a petition...It should be legal for anyone that vandalizes someones car should get knocked out by the owner of the vandalized property. Obviously with cop present.

Thanks for the tips guys. Just to be clear it was the m3 trunk spoiler. I am going to order another one I think it looks good and hope that it was a one time thing.

It doesn't take much to steal the m3 lip spoilers. A nice length of dental floss and from one end to the other it's off. Like slicing through paper. It's unfortunate that this happened but it Happens more than you think because it's so damn easy for these losers to steal

I don't think they do it that way , they just rip it off cuz they not that smart and also damage the cars sometimes .. This never happened to me but some ass ones broke in to my car , he broke my window to steal some CDs and 2$ of change .

I actually had my bmw cap removed from my hood last year at my old apt. and the same guy tried ripping off my friends 4-rings off the trunk of his Audi with a screw driver. Luckily (or unluckily) we caught him before he completely ripped off. Definitely brought him to the front yard of his house and beat him with a belt. DAMN KIDS!!!
