I believe it's the way they changed the ECU throttle mapping. Besides removing the "drive-by-wire" throttle lag, they also continue to give the engine a little more gas when you life-off the throttle, this is very subtle but it actually prevents the fly-wheel from slowing too much until you get it into the next gear.

The drivability of Dinan is better than BMW stock and I believe the amount of testing and re-calibration is what makes them more expensive than other tuners.
Or the fact it targets 9 psi at redline? No piggyback in my experience has any bogging issues at such low boost. My god, nubs giving Nubs advice. Lol @ the price comment too.

I am not sure why not more people are complaining about this issue and trying to find a solution.
I am used to drive cars hard, and you definitely cannot shift too fast with the 335i
I tried keeping a bit of gas while shifting but you will hit redline which will cut boost to nothing...
if i let go of the accelerator while shifting the same thing will happen so its a lost case

I do have a GIAC tune and the Clutch Control Valve mod.

I seen Mr 5 videos and he take his time while shifting probably to avoid this from happening.

I driven turbo cars before but never had this issue. I even had a friend of mine, who is a pro dragster, drive the car and he notice the same issue imediately.

Shift bog has plagued the JB line up for sometime now. That is why many switched to PROcede way back when.

Cobb and even the stock DME can bog as well.

It is usually for higher boost applications though that people run into the problem. The fix is find a tuning solution that solves it. i.e. PROcede

it doesn't matter what tune you run, it is just the way it is... I have deleted the stock CDV, ran a couple of different tunes, the car just won't speed shift very well. It isn't so bad anymore 1-2 or 2-3, but when I go 3-4 it is just horrible. I guess it has to be mechanical with the clutch. I plan to get a new clutch/flywheel combo soon, one that doesn't use a dual mass flywheel.
