Did things change in 2013 for the E92 coupe? I have 4 mids (2FR, 2RR), two tweeters in front, 2 under seat woofers, and an amp under the trunk tray. Also have navigation if that helps. Is this HiFi or base?

Amazing install unfortunately its the wrong harness for me as i have the Hi-Fi system that is already amped in the boot. Also my install will be staged and not big bang like yours as i dont have the funds for that I plan to replace the current OEM amp with a JL amp to power the current OEM system. The next phase will involve upgrading the front components and under seat mid-ranges (haven't decided with what yet) Then a matching set of components for the rear and a JL sub and mono amp in the boot. Then if i can secure the funds, the CIC retrofit |

Does this same audio table apply to E60? I have a -08 E60 with the Hifi option (676), and it really needs an upgrade, but I couldn't any info about the amp and signal that is used in E60

Good evening all! read through alot of this am a little confused. The dealership listed my system as Hi-fi but i don't have tweeters so im 99% sure its just the base system and was listed incorrectly. But i got to wondering if maybe the system wasnt coded to hifi and thats why they listed it like that?
Is there a way to see which coding im running? |

If you look for the amp in the trunk it should be
If you look for the amp in the trunk it should be obvious
if its the base system because there won't be and amp. Also if you are in the US the only year the base systems were issued is 2010 through the first half ob 2011.BMW stereo types http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352586 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1266451970 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343673 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138949 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780605 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780865 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 http://bmwcoders.com/forum/3-er-8/bm...1-e92-e93-291/ http://technicpnp.com/menuDiagrams/d...e90_92_93.html http://www.musicarnw.com/page-2/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...4&d=1278871872 |

Not too worried about the remote lead as I have an Audio Control Lc2i which will do signal sensing turn on. Read through alot of the links not completely clear on install. Tried once already and it wasn't kicking on though I rammed the wires into the back of the connector for the BMW amp |

is it good idea to mix ohms on speakers??
there is a lot of companies, which makes speaker sets like SUBS - 2ohms, and MIDs+Tweets 4 ohms... i was wondering if XD600/6v2 will handle it... |

To the last two posters
1)If you choose and under seat that is good at midbass such as a
set of Jehnerts and doors that play as low as possible that will help. Also you can use a DSP to help if you want to go that far. 2)As long as you have each stereo channel pair on the same type of speaker it will be OK. |
