Though I swear my is also has brake ducts up front in place of the fog lights, but I could be making things up. |

I am running ducts right to the backing plate. I seized a caliper two months ago, and last month I melted all my dust boots. I know that's the price to play, but I had never done that on all four wheels in the same weekend before. But it was also stupid hot out.

They are good on the track. They don't seem to have the initial bite of some of the more aggressive Hawk pads, but they are consistent for me. Not to mention, they have very low wear! I have six track days on them right now and they have negligible wear. I got about 8 track days out of my last set of Hawks.
I would not run them on the street. At least for me, the pad retainer clips fit poorly into the brake piston, so they are always slightly dragging. They are also like any other track pad and are loud and do not stop well when cold. I drive them to and from the track, but I wouldn't drive them on the street regularly.

The car didn't see enough track time this season to burn through tires. Also, the 255s always had a lead-time when I ordered. This winter I'm planning ahead and will buy my summer tires during off-season.

Im looking to get a set of slicks for drag racing, whats the widest tire I can run on a 17 inch wheel without rolling fenders?
I drive a 2011 N55 E90. I dont know enough about wheels to know what offset id need to run or anything like that so id need help. Im currently running 255/35/18 in the rears. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I'm looking at the ARC-8 17x9.5, ET 35, profile 3, deep concavity. I'm pretty sure the barrel will clear I'd just like some confirmation before I buy a couple. You don't happen to know anyone that has these wheels and can do a quick test fit on the rear of your car do you? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have style 193 wheels, so they're 18". I eventually want to get 17" Arc-8s. What's the process to get the mph re-calibrated to run on 17s?

Depends on the tire. I sold the my 3 series years ago, but I was running a track setup with camber plates and R-compound tires (this was my daily ) which had a very similar overall diameter as the stock 18s so no calibration was needed.
