definitely the US spec model. canadian models would have the packages as "f sport series 1" "f sport series 2" and "f sport series 3". the packaging and options here are the same as US spec IS350's minus the fact that the IS500 is available with memory seats.

Yeah also think that is the US brochure. One of the commenters in the youtube video mention that Canadians don't use 0-60mph figures they use 0-100km/h. Makes sense.
Looking forward to this car. A Lexus vehicle hasn't been on my radar since the last ISF. I'm expecting a base MSRP of $58-60k and about $2-4k for packages/options. |

tired of all these damn walkaround videos from journalists. we already know everything about the car and ballpark price range.
just tell us how it drives and if the 8 speed is still junk or not. apparently the review embargo won't be lifted for like another 2 months |

Yeah was gonna say the same that you can pretty much extrapolate from existing applications.
The same 8 speed automatic is in my brother’s GSF. While it isn’t as snappy as the DCT I had in my F80 comp, it gets the job done well enough. The only time you notice it’s a slushbox is when dropping down multiple gears at once. The DCT did that effortlessly while the 8AT seems “slow” in that scenario. But upshifts are plenty quick. The suspension probably won’t be much different than the IS350 F-sport with DHP. It does include Yamaha dampers that’s aren’t available on the IS350. Hopefully that helps with comfort and handling as the former is a big deal for me. And well the 5.0 V8 is a gem. It is rev happy and going to redline is such an adrenaline rush compared to the F80 comp. A+ motor and something I would happily keep after the warranty ends. |

This V8 won't fix this car. I drove the IS350 F sport and RCF at a Lexus event the other day. Drove them very hard actually, the RCF even at the limits on autocross. These cars are varying degrees of mediocre. Handling is sloppy, steering is slow and vague, interior is bottom of the segment.
Props to Lexus for putting a V8 in this thing, and it's a damn fine looking car, but that's all the compliments it gets from me.

Lol at heavy. Name a car in this segment that isn't heavy.
A Charger with the V8 is a boat compared to the IS. The C63 is around the same weight, but soon that won't be available to purchase with the V8. Even sports cars like Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers are all pretty substantial in curb weight. |

Not sure why ppl are hating on NA 5.0 V8 stuffed into rather small sporty sedan in 2021 when everything else is 4/6cyl turbos that sounds like crap.
The predator grill really needs to go though…… |

cars are just heavy these days. its what people want. at least the is500 is lighter than the 2 person LC500. thats like 4000+.
its astounding the f80 is as light as it is ~3500 pounds and can easily seat 4. i'd be interested to see how the is500 stacks up against the lighter e92 m3. my guess is that from a performance and driving fun standpoint the 10 year old M3 still comes out ahead. its down on power but has more revs, better trans, and lighter.
