That's too bad. The two things I dislike most about this car are the slow/sloppy shifts under boost and the poor traction. (Lack of an lsd)

Is there anything some of us pre 03/07 guys can look for in case the tranny was updated and the current owners weren't informed? I'm the second owner and I'm still finding things the original owner did but failed to mention.

Also, any chance the brilliant minds who brought this to the forum will find a fix for us pre 03/07 guys?
I just bought a10/07 build Trans and that's the Trans that 517 will be building. We should know very soon of their are any swap issues. I also know that their is another member that is specifically trying to swap the control unit and VB to see if that's a viable solution. Keep posted.

Trans is $4300 TQ converter is $500. As for the Trans I picked up for $900 and will sell my existing Trans to offset the cost.

Where are you finding this info? Just searching other forums?
I'd love to read up more about the fundamentals of the flash.
Thanks for any reference material guys.

MY 2007
Build date - June 2007

Just this done tonight. Big props to Steve. This guy really knows his stuff.

Instantly you feel the difference. Videos, pics don't do justice. Shifts are smooth as butter. You don't feel a thing.

The display has changed. You now see which gear you're in as oppose to just "D" or "DS".

Sport mode is a complete a animal. When thrown in sport mode, this is no hesitating or jerking forward.

While pushing the car on the way home, I noticed it auto rev matches seamlessly. This is absolutely the perfect mod anyone can do.

Thankfully all my functions still work. My paddles still work, no errors, no lights. All is good.

Anyone contemplating this, don't think twice. Just get it done.

Can i have the contact number for the shop you used please?

That is very cheap, I would pay 6,000.

If its under 4k, Ill go this route rather than building my AT. If the price is right, ill pass on the build and do a swap.

You get some shadow codes when flashing (no light will come on) so make sure you clear them once done and dont freak out because they don't come back lol.

I was steve's guinea pig 1st Xi in the world haha

yup, Steve was kind enough to clear them after we went for a test drive.

No error codes!

I'm really happy that the paddles work too.

You are golden with that date at the moment...Guess why! I have the same Production date as you...YOu will enjoy everything is flash has to offer and more since you can have paddles working...Trying to figure out whats going on with the flash with newer cars but there is only 2 so far...I need more flashes on newer models to try and work out the paddle shifter...Please provide your feedback on this flash when you are done..

You know I will
What would be amazing is if we could get a VO list of an actual Alpina B3 GT3 since they may have an alternative SA code for their paddles which would explain why it is breaking the newer paddles.
