Heads up guys & stay tuned - talked with Andrey today & he is expecting to release pics of the new Design CF spoiler for the E92 - they are planning on going with an Arkym/CPS Style instead of the (2) holes as in the E90 version

Quote:
The lip is going to be exactly as pictured in the e90 thread in terms of look with one exception. Instead of the two hollow holes on the e90 lip it is going to be a arkym/cps style where it meets the bumper as we feel that looks amazing on the couple body style. I will update the thread tonight with a product pic of the lip which were having made.
This should delight mashimarho to no end, as I think he had one on his car some time ago - unless he still wants to go with the double lip version

Would a vote or feedback on what your customers want be a better way of conducting your final design outcome?

Pretty sure that's why he was going to post pics - to show what they are thinking of doing for review

Obviously no matter what style/design they go with, not everyone is gonna like it.

I know what style he's talking about & it may just look better than those (2) holes (all though I kinda like that design also)

I'd post the pic but I don't want to take the joy away from Andrey lol.

But personally this design is going to suit the E92 better because of the more fluent design as the headlights are more rounded as well.

I voted for this lip personally if anybody has any gripes

Hold on a second.... Changing the lip design after we've all committed?

Not too happy. I really want the slek style.

Won't send payment until this is cleared up.

THIS IS THE LIP IN QUESTION, PLEASE GIVE ALL FEEDBACK ASAP EVERYBODY

-Aero holes
-Thinned out sides to give it a more rounded and sleeker look for the E92/93
-Weighs less than the E90 CF Lip
-Also is lowered car friendly since it will just flatten out the entire bottom baseline
-Based off the ARKYM CPS

I think this lip is perfect for e92.. Seems less bulky than the e90 version, which is good.
I also like that its more "lowered car friendly"

I like it.

Anyone have any solid pics of the slek lip for comparison?

New design is not bad - but as I am XI stance the ground clearance is not an issue for me.

Don't think I'm really feeling the vertical wall going from bumper to lip, and the lip itself is much thinner and extended out further than the other as on E90 - looks kinda like a shelf. I can see something bad happening to that driving the winter roads - especially when they run out of salt & start throwin' down rocks instead for grip

I liked the way the other lip did not protrude as much from the bumper, was more flowing and sort of melted/merged into the bumper itself along the top edges.

The other design hugged the bumper closer at the extreme corners while this one extends out much further around the corners - which makes it prone to damage if you pull in slightly too far in an angled parking spot against a curb.

  • Is there going to be a choice between this new design and the old, or is it one or the other?
  • Since this bumper was made from an actual 1M bumper bottom half, does that mean that any spoiler made for OEM 1M front will fit perfectly?

So what we have to wait for is the matching of the corners to make sure the lip is going to sit perfect. As the e90's have to be tightened up the E92's are wider so they will be off by at min an inch to match up by the fenders. But what I'm trying to do is have it match since we didn't have to modify the 1M bottom on the E90 at all. So if we could do this for the E92 then both lips will be interchangeable and you can buy the e90 lip. But we need to wait for a e92 test bumper so we can make sure for everybody.

Hope everybody can understand that from a manufacturing POV.

No this is for the E92 only. The E90 will be off the Slek Design

So, to TaranJ or Andrey

Is the new design cf lip for E92 as shown above definitely what will be supplied?

Just need to know before sending payment so I know whether to still get the lip or not...

For what is being said and having more than half of the GB buyers tell us they want something sleeker it is looking this way.

But we will be sending out our E90 Lip to be tested or have them send us a lip so if they are interchangeable then we will let you choose out of which one you would like. But we have to wait for their production to start to actually get it squared away on the sides.
