Vessel: Hojin - ETA Port Hueneme 10/5

I was just notified that my 9/6 production 328i (offloaded 10/6 from Traviata) has reached my local BMW center here in the Seattle area. Apparently it doesn't take long to get up the Pacific coast, as spn related earlier. Hopefully some of the Hojin cars are also arriving up here.

So after all that, Traviata ends up beating Hojin -- to Seattle no less!!??!

BMW of Bellevue emailed me on Friday that the car had arrived and that I could pick it up over the weekend. We're in Maui so it'll have to wait a bit longer.

Owner's Circle still shows my car at the VPC, but my CA called and I'll be picking mine up this afternoon. LionRampant, did you take (re)delivery yet?

I've had to reschedule my delivery for tomorrow (Tuesday), as today is a bank holiday and I cannot get at my funds.

Hope you have a smooth delivery and a fine time driving your new ride home, HStan! Post some pics!

It's about frackin' time: my car made it to the dealer Thursday night. Gotta wait until Monday to travel to Salem to get it, but at least I know she's home!

I ordered it in April for July delivery in Munich. 2009s weren't available yet.

I had an E39, but I sold it in February in prep for this car. I've been driving a 1998 Ford Ranger 4x4 ever since; the thought of waiting until the '09s were out was unthinkable. I do a lot of highway driving for my work, and taking roadtrips in the truck is an absolute killer.

Car made it to the dealer last night but I didn't have time to pick it up. As of last night, the OC still said at the prep center.

I just have 2 lame pics for right now. If the car was turned around, you would see the graphic for Petco Park on the nav. Need to get top down pics.

Its Jet Black with Saddle Brown and gray poplar trim.

Everyone that warned me about black was right. It was dusty after 15 miles. Looks hot though. I went with Gray based on the web and brochure. It looks amazing in person.

other misc notes/thoughts:
1. window buttons are too far up. guess the move on the e90 lci was warranted.
2. the sun reflective technology seems to work for the leather, but they need to use that technology on the top of the door. Ouch!

3. cant wait to use myinfo and the rest of idrive/nav
4. ride isnt as smooth as my maxima rental
5. it has bridgestone tires - I think those caused some of the flutter noise but dont want to read 1000 msgs of that thread
6. top up/down button is opposite of my SL. hopefully my brain adjusts in 2 wks
7. turn signal drives me nuts. Hopefully when I RTFM, I will figure out how to tap and get a few blinkers.
8. lumbar area of stock seats (no premium lumbar controls) seems to kinda puff out. I hate that feeling and never use the lumbar, which is the reason I didn't get it. Oh well, the sport seats seem to pinch my torso so I didnt go with sport.
9. paired with my BB curve easily
10. havent read any threads about ipod touch compatibility (i got ipod/usb), but want to grab the new one.
11. I like how the door handle comfort access "button" and park distance sensors blend in.

Congrats SDSlayer after all you and a bunch of us have been through. It HAS been the Twilight Zone, don't you think? I'll get some pics up of my new ride soon -- delivery only 2 days behind you!

Picked up the car this afternoon!

Car is an Alpine White with Coral Red/Black interior and Gray Poplar. I couldn't find any of this combo just pics, so we were unsure about the gray poplar on the red but it looks great. Friends car with Aluminum has scratches and dings and we have a 4yo.

Cold Weather
Sirius
HD
Ipod/USB
Park Distance Control
Steptronic (bad knees and heavy traffic commute) and Paddles
Wish we'd ordered the iDrive, but back in July all our friends with it hated it, new systems seems well worth it.

Last pic is the car in the loading lanes getting ready to board the truck in Port Hueneme taken by one of my spy Seagull's.

Really happy with the car after 43 joyous miles...
