"Also I am very impressed by Terry. On the way home I went WOT to get on the interstate and went into limp mode. I pulled over turned the car off and tried again to see if I could get the same results. Well, I did. So I gave AU335 a call to e-mail terry my problem and asked Terry to give me a call. Within 10 mins Terry gave me a call and I explained what was going on. (same thing I ask earlier with cold weather). Terry assured me everything would be ok and 1.2 would fix the problem So I give Terry a huge applause for taking time out of his Sunday to help me out! Thanks bro" |

The quote you gave can be from a number of things, but the idea was MAYBE from a cold weather/bad plug combo making this LIMP. without really reading any codes and checking it out its hard to say IMHO.
But i do agree, you were only saying what you did read, maybe a bit Excessive with the " i hope they.... fix the MANY limp modes...." isolated cases as im sure many PROcede owners have aswell. BACK OT. |

Nope, none yet. Ironically on my last car (e90 330i) I got a ticket within 2 weeks. I'm running 4 months or so now with no issues. An interesting thing Long told me is if you leave the window registration on, cops usually won't bother you because they think its new.

Shiv, the new map settings I have as follow give me 13 psi on boost gauge on 3rd gear pull
max boost: 16 UT: 85 1st gear: 90 2nd gear: 95 upshift: 10 I'll try to log it later tonight to see how much boost it yeilds with procede software. Do you recommend raising the UT on 91 octane gas? I dont know but it seems like after I installed DPs I see less boost, but it does pull/feel faster Last edited by ontopofm; 12-07-2008 at 10:33 PM.. |

Just trying to understand why tunes go into limp mode is not bashing...its inquiring about what the parameters for the limp...If you see my post I was wondering why and what reasons...OPs with BMS tunes seem to be TOOOOO defensive, and that part I really don't understand...I remember when I had a V1.47 tune and then the V2 when ever I saw post of limp modes, no user from BMS ever asked why and what was the reason, they were more interested that Procede causes limps and bashed...I am just curious to the reason why the BMS 1.1 version had so many limps modes...plain and simple but people take it out of proportion and act like little school girls themselves!

i just said it in generally. I love Procede and show respect for JB numbers as well. The only thing I didnt like about JB was it advertised as a "limp free" tune. Now I dont care. I just love my car w/ a tune, dci, downpipes and soon to be IC |

It was good meeting all of you out there today. Shiv did a great job describing how and what the the V3 does different than the JB3. I will not give a full review just yet, i will give it a week and then plot down what i feel. I am still waiting to see how the JB3 1.2 is going to feel but from this taste test, i did end up removing the JB3 and driving home with the Proceed. I will try it out for a few days and switch back to the Jb3 when i get my 1.2 so look for a review later in the week.
