Excellent performance of SAI. And a 1-2 for Ferrari.
Mclaren was also pretty strong.

But for sure Carlos will have a lot of options for next year. Talks will start soon I think
In race 1 he also finished above LEC.
Normally SAI has a bit of a slow start of the years, and LEC is the fast one, but this year SAI seems to have things sorted out.

I recall you could put a reserve driver in the old Merc and reserve Russell would have won the that race easily if they didn't stuff up the pit stop (i think due to SC)

I think he also already came into that corner too fast.
So a combination of coming in too fast (desparate), loosing a bit of downforce in the dirty air, and worn tyres.
All 3 are drivers error. To me it looks a bit like a now or never moment to get past/close to ALO (to pass him the next stretch).

Back in the 80's and early 90's you'd still sometimes see them in certain cars (from enthousiasts obviously), and I always thought they were so incredibly cool!
