i dont know if its the lack of MMI but the bose in my tts is nice but seriously lacks bass. You are right though about the 'reserve power'

Listened today also and like 335 rocks am also getting noise from the tweeter area. Spoke to Anneka (what a helpful person she is) and am probably going to have the foam inserts installed.

I had a look on realoem and I can't really see any part numbers to what these foam wedges may look like.

The noise is definitely a little bit louder on the drivers side and you can feel a tiny draft in that area. You can start to hear it at 40mph+ and it gets progressively worse with the increase in speed. Before the upgrade I didn't didn't notice any wind noise from this area.

As doc_ab, I didn't get the speakers and corner inserts that were removed and in hindsight it would actually be good to hold on to them in case I decide sell the car later. Any chance I can get mine in a box as well?

You definitely need the foam inserts as they block out the wind noise that you're experiencing. However, I don't know whether the Alpine tweeters are the same dimensions as the OEM tweeters from the HiFi setup. I would very much doubt they are the exact same size, so you will most likely have to do a bit of modification to those foam inserts to get the Alpine tweeters to fit.

Fit's like a glove.... no modifications needed.

I fitted them saturday and noise level is back to what it was before I had the upgrade.

I have gotten quite good at taking the door trim off, but that's a different story.

It is, I don't think we could be more confusing even if we tried...
Sytner Chigwell BMW on Langston Road, Loughton is situated 100 yards from Debden station.

I drove round the M25 so was driving between 60 - 80, had a quick listen for wind noise, didn't notice anything, but I did have Pendulum blearing out pretty loudly for most of it!

Will give a heads up if do get any.

Now for a sports interior in the next couple of months

Got mine done last week and am very pleased with the sound, it really is a lot better.

However I've noticed some wind noise at motorway speeds but it's difficult to say weather it's increased or not because I only had the car for a short while before getting the upgrade done.

Any one know if the the foam inserts are there pre upgrade? Or do they have to be ordered if you want the upgrade?

From what I have seen the foam inserts are NOT there as standard and should be ordered as part of the upgrade. (E90)
