PM answered, telliing me I did it wrong.
Very professional. As I stated, I was taking off CF splitters that I installed months ago. Those mounted and fit PERFECTLY. I know all about which screws to take out and use. A BMW tech told me my old ones fit better than OEM splitter did. And they were reps off ebay. As the poster above me posted. HE needed apoxy, c clamps and the works to get them to fit snug to the body panels. To me, that is totaly unacceptable. My previous ones almost didn't need the screws they fit so snug and perfect. If it was made known, that it would need epoxy, because the the twist in the plastic would keep it from sitting flush, I wouldn't have paid in advance, waited and then tried to install. You 'guaranteed' ftiment. Well, you then have to take these back. Wasn't worth the wait to be told "sorry buddy, you did it wrong".......... I've done 3 sets of these for me and others, with no issues. kj |

![]() Tape won't hold the spltter down, flush to the bumper panel. ![]() side won't stay stuck in place either, as the splitter has a twist in it. So, hmmmmm do I epoxy it, super glue it..... none of this above. Bumper was cleaned and prepped prior to install. This just doens't cut it for me. IF this is guaranteed fitment, well......... bavd: " excuse me sir but all our splitters are tested for fitment before they are shipped. I am not so sure as to how well you might have installed them. Remember you are suppose to remove the last two screws on each outer edge of the bumper to fasten them. Please try again, thank you." I'm sure this is going to be a fun one. Off to remove my name from the GB on the CF intake as we speak. ![]() I'll find a close up of this. These CF splitters fit perfectly snug and there is NO tape on them....... |

I can understand your frustrations, but for the record, I never complained about the fitment or quality. I really love mine and I think they are worth every penny. Maybe there's a possibility that you got a bunk set and you should get a new set sent out to you in the place of the other set.
The reason why I used the betallink is because it was the perfect product for my spoiler and I thought that it work perfect with the splitters. I also took maximum precaution with these staying on over time. Also, I've been called "king of the anal people" plenty of times so this may be why I wanted to make sure that every single groove fit absolutely perfect. Before I ordered these, I had a feeling that there were going to be some things that needed to be done to make sure that the installation was perfect, and I made sure that I followed through with these things. Yep, mine was trying to do that as well, but that's one of the reasons why I used the clamps and mallet. If you push on the spliiter and then clamp it, then just leave it there for a while and it should fit just fine once the tape settles and sticks. You don't even have to mess with the glue.
Here's the way that I look at it. The OEM spoiler definitely didn't fit too well, but with some clamps and patience, it will turn out great. The same care needs to be taken with these splitters also. I'll take pics of my final product later and you will see how nice they look.

I never said you complained.
and as you, I'm anal about my cars as well. I'm just not going through the hassle of epoxying the splitter to the bumpers. If I wanted that, I'd have got a Hartge spoiler and had a body shop put it on. This is all about simplicity.....and it's not. My club sport splitters on my e46 didn't need that. The CF reps I got off ebay and just took off yesterday, didn't even need TAPE, let alot betalink. I would have gladly sat back to see how they were gonna handle things, but when the first response, is " he dummy, not sure if you put them on right, do it again and we'll talk"... that's rediculous Guess I just expect too much from people. Customer service these days is aweful just about anywhere. Last edited by kujo; 06-26-2007 at 05:18 PM.. |

Sir please, NEVER DID I SAY YOU WERE A "DUMMY" so don't put this in quotes. We do not know you at any level so how are we to know your expertise on installation? We answered your PM, and yes our fitment is guaranteed, we provide the 3M adhesive tape to ease your installation, but we are not responsible for your installation methods.
We've had customers with faulty splitters before and we have fixed their problem with much ease. It would seem to me that you received your splitters and maybe did not want them anymore since you have your CF already ![]() Please try to handle this in a more professional manner, you are not dealing with other members in discussion board, you are dealing with a vendor in a GB thread. Thank you ![]() Quote:

Oh..another thing...Kujo is a good friend of mine...please dont tell him to be professional..He is the customer...and is a person I respect. Just because you are a vendor in a Group Buy we have to treat you better? Whats up with that comment? He has valid issues in my book..issues that I might to have when I get around to installing mine. If you included some detailed instructions when you shipped these splitters...a lot of this might have been avoided.
