Guys, please could you check this out. Aero lip for £100. Must be a catch somewhere. It says its a fibre glass one, does that mean its a definite no go?

Hey Mob17,
I stayed well away from GRP, Fibreglass etc etc and went with good quality plastic.
I could hav easily picked a brand new Aero Lip from NK Tuning for £70 but I got told on here not to go down that route or you'll forever be repairing it or end up shelling out more on a new OEM one..

So THATS the catch lol.

I'll keep away from that then. But generally the site looks good for other parts.

Boot lip from B.C Moto arrived today £38 shipped with no additional customs, lucky it got missed i guess. Also, i ordered it this Tuesday and it arrived today

Pics:

A bit annoyed with the above pic, not a 100% perfect line up (my fault!). But it’s a minor and happy with how it looks

Few more pics for anyone that is considering this lip:

Also on the way are CYBA Chrome tips and BMW Performance Alcantara Knob and Gaitor All I want to do now cosmetically is the BMW Performance Diffuser and the Aero Lip. But i'm not sure whether to do this next, i really want to make a start on the suspension side of things.

Looks great dude,

How are you going to do the BMW performance diffuser? Don't you need an M Sport bumper for that?

Mo,

(Un)fortunately, you'll HAVE to get an Msport rear bumper whaterver diffuser you opt for, whether it be the perf or the m sport.

Apologies, I thought you knew that's why I did bore you with that part lol.

Damn it! So can you not cut the SE bumper up and make the diffuser fit?

Lol. I'll see what i can find. If i can find an m sport bumper with the diffuser already on that would be perfect but i doubt it.

Yeah, they're not that easily available. I had to buy the M sport bumper first then wait around for the diffuser. Luckily, very luckily, I managed to pick one up in Titanium silver already but I'm most likely getting that resprayed.

You just gotta' be visiting fleebay regularly - good for the car, not so good for your pocket!

I am assuming an LCI M Sport bumper won't fit my car and the perf diffuser?

I think it will fit Mo,I don't think there's a different part no for the P/diffuser for the two different bumpers (pre-LCI/LCI).

The LCI was only a face lift jobby, the panels stayed the same with the exception of the bonnet I believe.

Plenty on the bay,get bidding.

Sam's leagues ahead already, you're seriously lagging Fella, although you're car is slightly quicker

I've also been looking at M Sport rear bumpers, quite a cheap upgrade to be fair, can pick a 2nd hand bumper up for just over £100. Sam etc who have done this mod is there anything else required, brackets etc?

Ah that's a relief then. I have seen quite a few on eBay

Just checking out my options as i am going to be tied up for the next 2 months so can't really do too much. But hopefully in due course i can get back on the game!!

Yeah he's got a lot of really good plans coming together in the near future. There's loads of people leagues ahead of me, some real good inspiration out there, which is why i love this forum. But I think the next few months will be a bit slow re mods, what with getting married and all that!

Slightly quicker? Think i'm missing your point here!

Minor update. Dealer replaced main stat under warranty today. On the way back the coolant temp seemed worse! Would not go above 75c. But now it goes up to 88-89. I'm hoping its just the really cold weather we are having as it does seem slower getting to temp. I know its no biggie but i'm going to go back to them if it doesn't get better and hopefully get an egr stat change.
