I tried flashing this on my 335i but it resulted in a bricked TCU and I couldn't figure out a way to get it working again. WinKFP errored out half way through the flash. I had installed BMW tools 2.12 and then updated the SP daten to v48.1 via this guide:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=807198 Fortunately i contacted Steve (cn555ic) who successfully reflashed my TCU remotely over team viewer and saved me from potential disaster. He did this within an hour of PMing him! Two thumbs up for you Steve! |

I flashed a car the other day with the Alpina flash and the car had the BMW PPK kit installed which should provide 20 hp and 30 tq over the stock MSD81 DME flash. The assembly number was 7626438. It's one of the Assembly numbers I plan on testing once I swap my MSD80 out for the MSD81. Don't want to write to my MSD80 because it's already flashed for my PROcede.

After a few days I can say with confidence that this is a huge upgrade. I don't like how aggressively it hunts 6th and 4th in D mode, but S mode is SO much better, and manual shifting is quicker and firmer. OE DS mode was jerky and just felt "dumb" around town, the Alpina S is totally driveable in traffic and stop and go situations. High load shifts are effortless and happen without incident on E30 mapping, and it appears to help the real high wtq guys who were having issues with the 5-6 shift.
