I tinted them, along with the LCI eyebrow and marker lights.

they aren't as dark in person as they are in pictures, especially with the lights on.

Tried to fix the rear airmix temperature. Haven't driven it around to test it though.
*EDIT* Nope.

Why are you annoyed, does it not sound as good as the boxer motor with same BOV..?? I'm on the fence about this mod as well but don't wanna do it if it doesn't sound good.. I had an HKS SSQ on my ITR and loved it, but not sure if it will "pssshhhhhh" the same..

First time I've seen a CAR designated license plate. Looks good brother.

Today, as I was supposed to be leaving for Euro Hanger in Michigan... at 45,100mi, the damned water pump decided to die on me. Thank God I get a deal on parts/labor... 550 for the pump, thermostat and hardware, 250 for install at my indy. Good way to start a weekend..

I rarely see someone with a tow hook license plate. Most people I see don't even have a front plate, despite the "law" in my state. Cops don't care because nice cars mean the rule doesn't apply, apparently. I've never been even asked about running no front plate. |

Today I bought 4 new tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1s) and had the oil changed.
Tyres feel amazing and it's nice knowing the oil has been done.

Rolled 120k miles.
Been using Waze a lot. It's outstanding in big cities where there are lots of Wazers. Traffic jams and speed traps no longer much of a factor. |

Refitted my spare maf... After cleaning it by soaking in Cillit Bang lime and shine, then rinsing with de-ionised water and blowing dry through a straw!
My car (2011 e90 320d m sport with 75k on the clock) never really felt right (purchased in Nov 2014). It went well but it always felt like it was being held back. I purchased a secondhand maf and tried that, it instantly felt like it had more grunt! However, it later developed an iratic idle and hesitation on light throttle. Faced with no choice but to buy a new one (I had already tried maf cleaner spray) i decided to have one last ditch at cleaning one of them. Guessing that the problem was oxidization of the element i purchased 750ml of cillit bang. I think it is slightly acidic, which was what i was after. I put the maf in a jug just bigger tha itself and sprayed every hole and gap on the maf repeatedly untill the bottle was empty and the jug was full. Took a while as i had to wait several time for the foam to die down. Then i let it soak in the liquid for 8 hours before rinsing with tap water, then de-ionized water. Dried it by blowing through a drinking straw into all the gaps and left to really dry properly for 12 hours. Fitted it to the car this morning, she drives beautifully now! Would i recomed this approach.. Yes, but only if its a spare maf thats about to go in the bin anyway!!!! I'm guessing that in some cases the element is actually just oxidizied and once cleaned up is fine. Last edited by mark_l; 06-27-2015 at 03:58 PM.. |

Not today but last weekend.
Replaced the transfer case actuator motor worm gear on my 335xi. Great guy on eBay selling the actual worm gear for $60. This saves roughly 500 in parts and another 500 in labor if having someone do it for you. It was fairly easy though undoing the tcase and tranny support was a little sketchy. Clearly the worm gear was toast! Slapped it back together and code immediately went away. The gear seized and would not engage the main gear.. I'm assuming there is a sensors that monitors rotation of the gear...no movement = code/error. Also put my front drive shaft back in after running without (rwd!) the last year or so. Forgot how hard the car hooks up!! Fun. |
