get in touch with Brian Hanchey at AST in Plano (www.ast-usa.com) and see if he'll extend the sale.
So, Wookie..... After a few months on the ASTs, how are you liking them? Ride comfort compromised much? This will be one of my next purchases, so I wanted to get your thoughts after spending some time on them.

Does anyone in the DFW area have the tools to register/code a new battery? I had to get a jump at the gas station today and I'm gonna go ahead and guess the battery in my car is OG and due for a change. I don't really want to pay whatever crazy prices the dealer is going to quote me (I'm gonna set the O/U at $450, any takers? )

I should have my coding cable today or tomorrow. I've got to register my own battery (I've also got a 07, so I should be able to repeat the process with little modifications). Of course, I can offer no promises, but I'm willing to help. PM me if interested.

The procedure is very easy but you'll need INPA working first. Also note early '07 cars have a different pinout requirement on the coding cable.

Before replacing your battery, be sure to identify the exact type and capacity of battery in your car. If it's a 90Ah AGM type, you want to replace it with the same. If it's a 82Ah wet battery, replace it with the same.

The "registration" process only resets the charging routines for a new battery. It will not alter the battery adaptations for a different type of battery.

That all gels with what I've seen. I don't think I have an AGM battery (OEM white batteries are lead acid right?). Hopefully I can find an aftermarket one with the correct specs. Maybe I should look into getting myself a cable and finally dive into coding...

edit: read the post you linked to and saw where you'd recode CAS with the new battery parameters

There's actually no soldering involved so I might just attempt it myself. If I fail I will be coming by haha.

Its pretty easy to install, just make sure you don't cross the wires up. Like me i did and it wouldn't clamp on the ECU correctly. I was pretty frustrated but i emailed mike at burger tuning a couple of pics and he spotted what i was doing wrong. After that it was simple and easy.
