Have you swapped the engine in your E46 or is it just aesthetically swapped?
It's a full drivetrain swap; front and rear subframes, engine, transmission, even the M3 fuel tank. Brian will chime in with the detail, but he has a long thread on bimmerforums or m3forum (can't recall) detailing the entire process. Many of us helped along the way similar to his E39 M5 wagon build.

Here is the build thread:

http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=544393

The front body is "done" but I'm not super happy with the fenders and was going to redo them. The entire mechanical platform is complete including (as CSBM5 said above): S54, carbon CSL style intake and tune, euro headers and cats, full ABS/DSC swap (MK60), subframes, coilover suspension, M3 brakes front and rear, entire fuel system including tank and evap system, 3.64 LSD, and 6MT transmission.

Interior is natural brown with custom dyed M3 front seats, brand new OE M3 steering wheel and airbag, custom M3 gauge cluster in dark gray (rather than light gray), high polished black trim, fully functional sport button panel, UUC Evo3 shifter, Dynavin navi/head unit, BSW stage 1 speakers, custom trunk subwoofer and amplifier, and probably more I can't remember at this point.

Exterior is M3 front end (factory lights, bumpers, aftermarket fenders) and I have all the parts ready for converting the side skirts and rear to M3 spec. Apex ARC-8 wheels in 18x9 with 255 front and 275 rear tires at present.

Hey guys, looking to sell my 07' xi here in Orange County. Car is very clean and super maintained. I'm thinking 12-13k. Any input is appreciated.

1) New Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires all 4 corners
2) Awesome Alufelgen staggered wheels in great shape, powdercoated dark grey
3) ST coilovers
3.1). Manual seats (lightweight and reliable)
4) Brand new valve cover, timing adjustment, front axles, rebuilt front driveshaft, oil pan gasket, differential output shaft seals, all new fluids in every possible location on the car (either Red-Line or BMW brand), rear hatch struts, air filter, carbon cab filter), new brake pads & rotors, entirely new front end (drives as new), new rear window regulators
5) Just an awesome looking and handling unique car with no door dings or major scratches, medium tint all the way around.

The not as good.

1) Front end road rash slightly below expected for 170k miles
2) Rear bumper cover has missing paint on drivers side corner (not extremely noticable because base plastic is black). This happened during my ownership but was not done by me. Guessing someone pulled a little too close to the bumper and pressed it in too much causing the paint to stretch beyond it's capacity. Figured wouldn't paint it as the next owner might upgrade front bumper to M3 style (or keep existing and refresh) and paint all at the same time.
3) slight tear in drivers side left bottom seat bolster

Sorry bud, an 07 xi with 170k miles and very few options is worth maybe 4k-7k. If you get 8 or 9, I'd be impressed. 12-13?

This. I picked up an 07 RWD Sport Package with 110k for well under 10k a few months ago, in the same color combo no less. Full maintenance history and good condition to boot. GLWS.

I sold a 2011 328xi 6mt wagon, with 166k miles, idrive, xenons, power (but not sport) black leather interior for 6500 in January (and was disappointed at how little people are willing to spend on anything with over 150k)

Good luck with yours!

I know right...but me personally I would rather purchase a car with more miles on it that has been well cared beyond normal than one with 75k miles that has only had BMW's regular scheduled maintenance...but thats just me. Once someone sees the car in person and sees the maintenance records I'm sure they will agree with its condition, time will tell what the ultimate selling price will be.

VIN checks out as legit M Sport but where are the 194s? And what happened to the rear seat bottoms? So many question marks, but someone should save it.

That is strange about the black rear seat bottoms. Maybe they still have them and bought an additional rear seat for kids to stain. Being optimistic on that one.

Someone on the west coast needs to buy this or at least go check it out.

But yet you haven’t posted a single picture anywhere you’ve listed the car... start with pictures and getting a realistic price.

I ended up picking this up after some negotiating on the price. Very particular owner. Needs an 90k service and a VCG. Love the color combo. Very similar and very different from my E36 M3.

Is the 3 stage intake worth the effort? Wish it had a little more oomph.

E: 38* here this morning. Heated seats+heated steering wheel=A+. Loving this car so far.

I think the 3 stage intake is definitely worth the effort. The extra torque really helps with the weight of the wagon and xdrive on mine.
If you were in my area I'd toss you my key so you could do an a/b comparison, but it is immediately noticeable.
