That will drain your battery though, iDrive will turn on, dangerous if you have a factory battery that could be on the edge of crapping out.

When my engine is off, but key is in (so I can play radio or such), the car will shut-down after about 5-10 minutes by itself. Like I hit the Start Button to switch all the accessories off.

Wouldn't the Comfort Access system also be programed to sleep the aux stuff automatically?
(I don't have CA or iDrive so I can't check)

Yeah but still 15mins of accessories isnt great, but with no idrive you would have less drain I guess.

The two indentations in the trunk lid carpeting are handles so you don't need to touch the exterior of the car.

And it also is a great place to unobtrusively store an ice scraper/brush during the winter months.

Does my 2010 BMW 335d have comfort access?

Although my car does not have any bumps on the handle, and I can not open the door without unlocking it. My friend with a 2010 335i has the ability to start with no key in the ignition. After messing around with my car for about 5 mins after driving it that day, I was able to start it with no key in ignition. Then it stopped working.

I just wanted to know if anyone knows how to make this a permanent fix on my car, or was my car just malfunctioning after I messed around with it.

Thanks.

It didn't stop working.
Get in car
Put fob in slot and start car
Turn off car and take out fob (don't open the doors)
Push start again and car will start without the fob in the slot.
It will work this way in any E9x car.

All F series cars have keyless start. This option is not in the E9x cars. I believe you need remote start to be able to keylessly start a E9x car.

I learned recently that this is not the rear seat release latch !!

Also learned (the hard way) that you do not pull on those and if you do, you will break them !!

Ok. That would explain why it started. Is there really a purpose to having this feature ?

I think for baby seats.. broke one too, then just ripped out the other three so they looked consistent Entire back seats may go soon too, free up some weight, no one ever sits in them.

My 2009 E90 335i has keyless start. Key just has to be in my pocket, on the seat, in the console, etc. and I push the start button. No need to insert the key fob.

I don't have any remote start - just a factory option. Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather Package are what I have

While the car is on, if you hold the start button for 1 second, everything shuts off. No more music continuing to play until you lock the door.

iDrive is also found in Rolls Royce. You can code your car to retract the Spirit of Ecstacy and add it as an option to iDrive. It doesn't do anything, but you can pretend like you have a Rolls.

LATCH anchors for car seats. 2 on the bottom, and a top mount on the package shelf. The covers can pull out but they usually will pop back in. I think they're just friction fit in the seat cushioning.

Are you talking about the warning triangle slot in the trunk lid?

Are you referring to the E90? He was talking about the slot in the rear/side of the E91.

Actually both are correct.
International standard calls it ISOFIX.
Regional names (US) calls it LATCH (Lower Anchor and Tethers for Children).
Canada calls it "UAS - Universal Anchorage System" or Canfix.

Some other places calls it UCSSS - Universal Child Safety Seat System.

Speaking of child seats, are there any cars that have center seat ISOFIX? As far as I know, 99% of the cars I've observed only has left or right side. Where many suggested the logical safest location to place child seat is in the middle.
Which bothers me, I'd rather place the child seat with proper anchor rather than the middle and secure with just seat-belt inertia tension.
