I haven’t used a perforated wheel but I love the Napa leather, it reminds me of the E46 M3 wheel. My new wheel is quite thick and soft.

I'm ramping up to do an oil cooler upgrade, and found the filter/cooler housing today @ LKQ. They just got a 2010 528i in two days ago, but between then and now someone hacked off the entire right side front subframe so the engine was dropped forward and to that side. I had hoped to get the cooler, coolant pipe, VANOS solenoids, cam and crank sensors, starter, timing tensioner and oil pressure guide things. But ended up with none of that as other than the starter & crank sensor, the rest was sitting against a firewall. Luckily there was a 530i with the cooler I was able to get. All the other items above are wear items and were too old to take a chance on used. On a clean 2010 I'd take that chance though. Also found a cool first aid kit!
FYI, the 530i has a three stage intake that looked good if anyone wants to snag it. Also a spare tire although no tools. If anyone is looking for clean E60 sport seats, the 528i had them as well as a spare with no tools. If I had the room to store them I'd pull those seats and resell them, they were nice! Restored the headlights! Word of caution: don’t try using spray on clear like I did. Way more trouble than it’s worth…

Probably the way I did it. Got a ton of runs on the headlight, ended up having to resand. I’ve done this procedure a few times in the past but always used the Meguairs sealant in a bottle stuff. Oh, and I used 1K clear instead - maybe that’s why? |

I drove it, the new M Sport steering wheel is amazing. As I've heard, change the parts that you touch and go from there. I love the ZHP shift knob and this is the perfect companion wrapped in Napa leather.

That looks neat. I've never seen one of those, but would love to find one. My car was originally a European delivery car and it came with both the first aid kit and the warning triangle from the factory (says the original manifest and VIN decoder). But sadly, both of those were removed by the original owner prior to my picking up the car as a 2 year old used car.

1k spray cans usually have a small narrow spray pattern compared to 2k spray nozzles, so it’s easy to get runs with it. It also has no hardener/activator like the 2k clear, so it doesn’t offer much protection.

What do you mean by hard-case? My ‘91 E31 actually has it in the trunk still, but I don’t think it was an ED car - did they come with US market cars back in the day? |

Replaced the battery. I have had a parasitic draw. Took the battery to AutoZone. Just under 3 year warranty. I was worried they would test it and tell me it's still good. Nope. Guy just said alrighty here you go. Got a new AGM Platinum.

Agreed. Changing the parts you have physical contact with all the time makes such a difference. One of the first things I did when I bought my car was to swap my steering wheel for an identical one that I’d had sent away for a refurb in smooth and perforated leather, and to fit a ZHP gear knob (the old SE one was awful). It just makes the driving experience so much nicer.

Got my oil done. She needed it after two out of town trips and some spirited driving.

Hi all, new to the forum here. Did plugs and coils this weekend and gave her a quick wash. Went for a nice drive afterwards, car was running great!
Off to the shop on Wednesday for a front suspension rebuild! |

Anyone ever order parts and it comes literally in a wood box lol. My carbon fiber spoiler.
