Most definitely. I have just never been given the chance in my life to appreciate one’s packaging and guarantee lol.

The previous owner or someone might have confused the car with an X5 and had some low clearance underbody panel accidents.

Patched up the undertray but I think it might get replaced.

Also had to rip off the nut clips that the sideskirt holds onto the body with the screws as the heads had been sheared off from something they ran over.

And a rare E9x undertray without oil on it.

Funny I just bought the same Multimedia pouch for my Euro armrest! LOL!

The 3 torx screws I had to special order through the dealer else they would have taken 4 weeks through ECS. Still took 2 weeks and I was almost embarrassed putting in such an order for 3 tiny screws!

Luckily I always source parts through my local dealer and they recognize me by name/number, so it wasn't so bad. They were probably just thinking to themselves "Oh man, what is Gmome going to order this time"

Looks like the snowboard/ski passthroughs. I went with the Thule carriers myself, but the bars and rubber tiedowns I think are an OEM BMW design

After some time away from the e90 I finally installed the Halo bulb in the drivers headlight this morning. It was the very last malfunction displayed when starting the car. So for the 1st time in 14 months since the car was purchased, there are zero errors. I'll call it success. (for now)

And since this will the 1st day my son, who just got his license, will drive himself to work I am satisfied with that. It is his car Afterall.

Repaired the driver side cup holder and disassembled both and deeply cleaned them. Did not lubricate because they work well as they are but might do in the future if they slow down.

Ignore the hideous sticky interior pull handle, pondering on which way to go about it.

I was able to find at least the interior part of that passenger side (why is it only the passenger side that fails like that???) door handle on eBay and replaced it. It's somewhat better, although not perfect. But I don't have to look at it or touch it much myself, so I am ok kind of ignoring the continuing flaws.

I thought you were going to say something about how you managed to make those cup holders stop rattling. Mine are, and they drive me nuts I've put a small piece of foam in both of mine between the top and bottom portions of the holder. It makes them less easy to be deployed, but it also cuts down on the rattling when driving over less than smooth New England roads. I would welcome suggestions for making them rattle even less.

I’m gonna look at the cheap plastic replacements and see what I find, I was wondering if one could fit a leather e92 handle in an e90.

I have never had rattling cup holders, the cup holder has two screws that should hold it snug against the dashboard and the back end has a tip with a rubber grommet type thing that you can see here and it goes into a bracket with a hole for it so there should be no rattling sound I’d think unless there’s something loose/broken inside the cup holder

Thanks for the reply! My problem with the door handle replacement was that the inner part of the new handle was/is just a bit off casting-wise from the old one and hence did not snap back together with the outer handle like it should. But maybe that's what I get for ordering a cheap replacement. Fortunately, my outer part of the handle did not look as chewed up as yours.

As to the cup holders, the part that I believe is rattling on mine is the little part that swings down when the holders are out. That seems more loose than it should be and I think rattles around when I drive over rough roads (the only kinds of roads we have up here). I don't think that anything where the holder mechanism attaches to the dash or further into the mechanism itself is rattling.
