Sure. Yes I made the same changes. Most of the euro tunes have the same ignition mapping (98 RON is like 93 MON), but I guess on the ragged edge they still left some on the table.

There's no Damos for MSV70 921S, at least not that's been leaked. I only know all of the map locations from software I wrote and hours and hours spent in the disassembly.

Hello,

A short update. Everyhing is working now. I also tried the EU version in my car, but no difference in my opinion. So thank you all for helping me out.

The main problem was the 2.5si file instead of the 3.0si later we find out that for the 3.0si files there were two software versions depending of the MY of your Z4. This triggers my MIL and communication problem with my instrumentcluster.

So bimmerlabs should include the production date as trigger for the right files. Than it should work without any problems.

For the most part it does. But on the Z4 it doesn't really work as well. You have to use the ETK, and even there the lastest part # isn't a ZB#, so you end up working backwards.

So two years ago I did a 3IM swap and Dylan (Bimmergeeks) did my RSA delete and 330i flash (sourced from Hass.)

Yesterday, I sat down with my laptop and waded through the process to do the no-maf flash. I can't tell you exactly what buttons I pushed to get WinKFP working, but I can say that this flash is considerably smoother under 2000 rpm. For me, driving a manual transmission around town, this is a much better car. (2011 e92, n52 manual)

Thanks to Hass, Terra, Raj, Dylan, and others for all the obsessive (and unpaid) legwork researching and developing.

It is a little smoother around the edges that's for sure. Again, the only problem is it disables the cruise for now, but I/we are patiently waiting for the fix if possible.

For now I just swap between tunes (and the MAF/IAT) when I'm travelling longer distances.

Oh wow. It must be the resident "coding error" code that pops up. That's a real bummer. Long trip this weekend, sigh.

Edit: Sounds not true for my case. Cruise control works fine.

That error code literally does nothing. you can ignore it, or you can default code the DME in NCSexpert and it will go away.

the irony is the DME can't actually be coded after 10 hours of runtime, but default coding it fixes whatever problem the DME thinks there is.

Nice! Your car must not be a 128i series. Your mapset probably had native CC in it, whereas mine does not (MAFless version). Unless something changed in the default settings, and CC uses different coding parameters/hardware in later chassis revisions. But good for you! Yeah "no coding" is an easy to fix. I always just quickly default code the CAS - 6BMOT and it goes away. Again, does nothing, but I just like it gone.

Side note... I switched back to the MAFless tune again tonight from the standard 128 to 130i, and noticed the occasional rough idle start-up issues (which seem pronounced) with the regular tune are gone. The car almost feel's "broken" for a few seconds as it finds itself with the regular tune. I am guessing Hass's magic fuel mapping technique really does make the MAFless tune something special. The car is sooo much more smooth and shift friendly.

Hey errbody.

I am getting my headers installed on Thursday by my mechanic. Should I mention that I have a 330i flash? I am not sure if they would do anything to the cpu that would put me back to a stock 325i setup.

Thanks

Tell him to bend the motor mount heatshield out of the way BEFORE the headers go in.

Nah don't bother mentioning the tune, won't affect anything. You can always reflash anyway.

Hi - I am just looking for a few minutes of (paid) help getting my first flash performed.

I have a N52 328i looking to upgrade to the standard 330i.

I have BMW standard tools downloaded and I believe the appropriate files. However, I think I am way off on folder location and file mapping. I totally suck at Win10 - it feels like a foreign language.

I would love to see if I can have someone with a little bit of experience help me map the folder/file addresses properly?

I was hoping to get this done no later than Sunday evening.

I did run the batch files using a Bimmergeeks cable and the error message seem to indicate that the appropriate files can't be found.

Thanx!

I had this issue and it's easily resolved.

open the folder up and find the .bat file. Easiest to find if you simply type *.bat in the search box.
right click on it and click edit, or open with notepad.
this will open the batch file in a text editor.

DO NOT MODIFY ANYTHING!

but you can scroll down and see what files the batch file is commanding ncs to open, and then you can copy/paste the files into the folder it's trying to read them in. once you've done that, close notepad and then run the batch file again.
It may also help if you run the batch file as an administrator level account. Right click, run as admin, hit yes on the uac prompt.
It should then find the files and complete the batch file.

The problem is the bimmergeeks installation tells you to delete the original folders and then copy over the new ones. But that removes a bunch of files needed for the flash - normally you'd replace them with the daten files (and you can of course), but you don't need all of the daten files, just the .prg and .ipo files.

Hi

I used to post similar questions before, but I was able to solve it,

I got the necessary RSA reset file and bat file at this location https://www.bimmerlabs.com

Since the files provided by country-specific VIN numbers are different, I checked the other vehicle's VIN numbers on the Internet and obtained the necessary files

I succeeded in changing from 323i to 325i with 523i to 525i 0pa

AT uses Winkfp to change the 6HP19 ZB number to a Z4.3.0iS number.

No, no, no

Don't flash an E85 3.0si transmission 0da file to a 3,series.

While the 3.0SI and the 330 maps are really very similar the map layout and program / 0pa file is different. It will not work.

If you try flashing the E85 0pa / program to your 3 series trans, it will brick and brick hard, Only some creative can bus wiring will recover it. Just ask Dylan.

Yeah, E85 uses the old CAN11h, while the E90 uses BN2000. They are not compatible.

sorry
Is the data not properly reflected? 323i can run normally This ZB7565426 number of EGS was guessed from the hardware number of 130i. Is it wrong?

Top speed is increased by + 15km / h in highway test, 0-60mph test is shortened by 2 seconds and shift speed is also improved
