No need to remove anything other than the hose and filter housing for this job
The 2 bolts I was referencing are for the coolant outlet pipe that connects to the engine block. You have an automatic so you already have the appropriate outlet pipe and did not have to mess around with that. Thanks anyways.

I see what you mean now yeah the manuals I believe have to replace that, doesn’t look like fun at all. Never touched one before but I think with a swivel socket or a spring extension it can be done from looking at it.

Did rear upper shock mounts. Took 10-15 minutes a side. $20 both sides shipped from A-zon. Rear felt a little loose, easy fix.

Installed my shift light kit on my custom M3 DCT cluster. This is the start up sequence on my cluster and test pull on a test cluster.

Initial install of 3D printed wireless charger holder instead of the sunglass tray. Still need to wrap it so it's more OEM, hookup the wireless charger -probably tap into the 12v under the glovebox and wire in the LED I have from the smoker package tray.

a thin 1/4" drive ratchet and E torx and I was able to do it by hand. Either have it high up on jack stands(or a hoist) so you can straighten out your arm.

Other than that they are not very tight and theres enough room to get it in and out(with the waterpump removed)

edit: the car was rwd so thats less nonsense in the way also

Yeah when I removed the coolant pipe from the junkyard car the bolts were not at all very tight. Debating whether to retrofit the heat exchanger next time I have to do the water pump since I'll have to remove it anyways.

Some scrap laying around seeing if I can do the bumper in one piece with no inlays. Waiting for some paintless dent removal Monday then wrap Wednesday.

Oil change on e91 this weekend. My gal has been driving it the last three weeks and yesterday I discovered a trashed 193M front wheel. Her car needs to be fixed soon otherwise mine will be a shit box. She was like I haven't hit anything but last week did sway bar down links and there was no damage.. It screamed granite curb. Now time to look for a ferrous grey 8"

And that is why I have never let a girlfriend drive my car lol

At work I watch people curb their wheels daily. We're talking feet away. It's as satisfying as it is gut wrenching watching the metal shear off the way it does

That and people in lowish cars pulling too far up over parking blocks and curbs. It's painful to watch and I can't believe some of the nice cars that I see do it. People just don't care about what's often the 2nd most expensive thing they own.

Man I'm glad I made my wife drive a E36 back in 2012 that was sitting on the floor and it was here daily. Learned to enter driveways, tackle bumps and speed bumps, never once curbed a wheel. Had to make sure she understood the car life so she can respect my vehicles if ever she wanted the keys and I wouldn't have an uneasy feeling giving them to her.

Noticed my Dayco tensioner (that I previously replaced proactively...) wasn't quite sitting right: the belt had a bit of overhang. Pulley seems fine. Thought it may have been this way from when it was installed and tried added a washer behind it, but then the pulley sat correctly, but the belt was rubbing the tensioner. Now to get a new INA tensioner and another Conti belt.

Took off the engine cover, and yep, the Valvetronic motor gasket is definitely leaking. Cleaned up what I could. Maybe the oil cap and ESS gasket are leaking too, so putting through an order for those too.

Coolant cap continues to develop inside crustiness (will start another thread), so probably going to get a new cap.

You Americans are lucky with your cheap high-end parts _and_ free shipping!

Replaced the cabin air filter with the Hengst I had sitting around at least.

Getting there. Just a few more trim pieces to wrap. I haven't upholstered a vehicle in over a decade, forgot how tedious it is.

I put my rack on (bike as well) which was a little nerve wracking with the carbon roof.

Finally refinished the vents and the front lip.
