there is a way for safety to your engine, not for map switching, its a long explanation on how it works, i will have to call or tell you in person.

regarding the JB3 side: 1/ if there is spray interruption - is it possible for the JB3 to switch down a few maps instead of being disabled completely ? 2/ if the JB3 is disabled completely - what do you have to do (besides fix the spraying) to start it up again ? 3/ what does BMS have to do to setup the JB3 for this map switching protection ?- is it just programming (thru emailed chip file), or is it more hardware (send the board to you for a tweak) ? lastly, anyone test this setup yet ?? thanks COOLING MIST'S ANSWER I will do my best to answer even though this is not directed toward us. 1) We hope to have our flash for the CMGS done in the next couple weeks. This flash will have the ability to notify the JB3 when a flow problem or low level problem occurs by sending a signal. We could send a ground or with a relay send a 12V signal. The JB can then revert back to stock or what ever Terry decides. Regarding your question about switching to a lower map. This is a nice suggestion and I would guess that Terry will integrate this. we send a signal back to the JB via our 0-5V MAP output that references boost. Since the CMGS reads your boost, it also will send your boost back to the JB3 as the CMGS sees it. I am sure the Jb can then make a determination as to how much boost is coming in and what MAP is safe at that boost level without the METH. Terry will be the expert on how to set the JB3. We will tell the JB what boost the CMGS sees and the state of flow. The user can set the threshold of flow and at what dutycycle to check the flow on the CMGS side. Its all very simple from our side. For option #2 above, that statement is the basis of the failsafe. If flow drops below your threshold the JB will not function. you basically answered your question. |

we got it figured out bro, its a matter of what way you want to go. the two tunes are totally different in the way they handle and control it, so its a matter of choice
