Finished them on my actual lenses. I love the look.

Looks great.
I did that on my e93 but used the spray tint.

Not e9x... but BMW.

Decided the heater box needed to come out of my e36. The last place it could be losing coolant (other than the head gasket) is the firewall junction or heater core..

This was a great idea.

High beam assist retrofit completed!
Also coded in AHL2.
One of my favorite mods for this platform. Nice little modern touch.

Thumbs up Transmission Service

I did a complete transmission service on the green car. New shift solenoids, sleeve and seals all around. New ZF Lifeguard 6. Reset adaptations and ran most of the drive cycle routine. Pan was original, dated November 2006. Fluid looked like it had never been changed after 174k. It was slow on downshifts and had a slight pause between 2-3. Drives like new now, even better than the Arctic car. Also cleaned up the underside a bit while there, weee!

I just did mine as well, but did not reset adaptations. Wondering if I should.

Had to get rid of the crappy silver that was chipping. Probably going another route with the transmission, but this will do for now. Still have to wrap the center console matte black.

If you replaced the solenoids then you should, it's part of the ZF install instruction sheet that comes with them (step 2 in my case). Otherwise, might not need to worry about it.

Something else that you might want to do with a fluid change is to reset the "fluid life", either via ISTA or another suitable tool. Otherwise, you will probably get a "00578E error code, transmission fluid deteriorated" or similar at some point.

Replaced the b-pillar trim that had chipped, and replaced an O2 sensor to get rid of my last warning/light on the dash. Coded-out TPMS yesterday, so the SES light was the last one. Been chasing it down for a few weeks and decided to spring for an O2 sensor today on a whim, and it did the trick!

Replaced Mickey Mouse and OFHG, changed oil and filter and coolant. My first coolant drain (just radiator) and it came out green. Sigh. Topped off with blue 50/50 and will drain and refill again soon to further dilute the green stuff. Did the OFHG without the recommended 1/4" E10. Used a 3/8" drive E10. It can be done but I don't recommend it.
Need to buy another under engine splash shield as mine is pretty busted up. Was going to change out the radiator overflow tank but mine looked good with no traces of coolant seepage, so left is alone.

Was just browsing through the forum and there is currently an aluminum splash shield for sale. Figured you may be interested.

Green is fine.

I'm at 360k and it's had regular'ol green gylcol in there for at least a quarter million miles. Everything I've seen inside the cooling system is pristine.

Thanks Brian86 but I already had a few gallons of the Blue. Besides, the green clashes with the Roundel.

My donor diff arrived today. Fairly low miles, in excellent shape out of an X1. 3.15 ratio, so a little taller than a stock manual 328i, same as a 330i. Putting an MFactory helical LSD in it, refreshing the carrier bearings, and will have to swap the input flange to bolt it up to the 328i.
